Care

Assisted Living

A living option for seniors or individuals who require assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, or medication management while maintaining a level of independence. Assisted living facilities offer personalized care plans and social activities that promote quality of life for their residents.

Memory Care

Memory care communities offer specialized care and support for individuals dealing with memory-related conditions, such as Alzheimer’s or dementia. These facilities are equipped with trained staff and offer engaging activities designed to promote well-being while ensuring a safe living environment.

Respite Care

Respite care is short-term or temporary care. Respite care can be provided in adult day centers, in private homes via home health agencies and in senior living communities, most often assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.

The Bickford was one of the top two choices for my mom. My wife had a wonderful experience when her grandmother lived at the Bickford in Oswego. The care was exceptional, and the team was awesome. The Bickford of Oswego also came highly recommended to us by a therapist that has been working with my mom and dad for years. I visited on behalf of my mom and dad. My dad ended up choosing a place in Morris due to proximity to him, family, and most of the activities they do in their day to day living. We would have moved mom to the Bickford in Oswego if the place in Morris did not have any availability.

At Bickford of Oswego, the dedication of the staff is truly remarkable. The caregivers approach each resident with genuine warmth and patience, ensuring their comfort and dignity during daily routines. Nurse Practitioner is available with prompt response, providing expert medical oversight and responding quickly to any health concerns. Activity Coordinator brings boundless energy, planning engaging events. The dining staff creates delicious and nutritious meals, with special attention to dietary needs. And the housekeeping team keeps everything sparkling clean, making Bickford feel like a true home. I am incredibly grateful to be a part of this team and working here as an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to our residents. I am witnessing firsthand the compassion and dedication they demonstrate every day.

This facility is so family oriented, even though I was not able to get my brother in. They directed me and gave me resources to where I can take my brother. I’m so thankful for them and their staff is amazing. I would definitely recommend anyone to them.

Would leave zero stars if possible. I could write a novel describing how horrible this facility is. This used to be one of the best places in Oswego but that is no longer the case. My grandmother experienced neglect and horrific care. We were told that this place was worth it by one of the directors “you want family members to experience the best possible care at their end of life so it’s worth the money.” Nothing but lies and excuse after excuse from this facility.
