This place has been amazing! They have taken such great care of my mother the last few years all the way until the end. Every time that I am there visiting all of the staff have been very attentive, kind and caring to all the people that are living there. I could have not done a better job myself and I owe them a huge debt. Keep up the amazing work that you do!!!!

June 2024::Mom has the best assisted living care at Bickford of Middletown. Bickford has the best activities and events each month. Just last month was Mother's Day Brunch prepared by in house Chef Marisa and her culinary staff. The presentation and food was absolutely wonderful for the residents and their families. This month is a Father's Day Cookout ! Can't wait ! The entire staff (administration, nursing, aides, culinary team and staff) is so professional, friendly and thoughtful with each resident. We are so blessed to have Mom loved by a team of talented caregivers who truly have a mission to deliver a higher path for seniors. Bickford of Middletown is the BEST !!! We Thank Bickford for ALL they do ! November 2024:: Activity coordinator Cindy does an excellent job with activites for the residents to keep them moving , motivated and excited with events. The Thanksgiving meal was absolutely delicious with Turkey, Ham and all of the trimmings. Again the Culinary Team were outstanding!!

Mother was a resident for 4 weeks in assisted living. Care not consistent, sporadic. My mother needed assistance with toileting which while I was there and a witness on majority of the days no one checked in her. I don't know if it's because I was there, but Bickford was receiving lots of money to care for my mother. If I was not present I don't know what type of care she would have received. Food was so, so. Facility was clean. On one occasion my mother asked for help for the bathroom. It was a long time before an aide appeared and she wanted to know what Mom wanted and Mom told her and aide stated "you are not my only patient" which of course Mom didn't like and the aide did care for mom, but she was not nice. There was also an issue with the salon, not returning funds deposited and no appointment was ever scheduled with salon. One other mention is communication with staff. Staff was difficult to get a hold of.

The activity department is excellent. I’ve attended several of their community events and my family had a blast each and every time! Highly recommend!
