As a visitor to several area senior care facilities, I can definitely say that the Benedictine Living Community is somewhere I could and do recommend to anyone who's considering the next step in their life. The staff, rooms, activities provided are way above the normal standard. The grounds at the Benedictine are incredibly beautiful and serene, helping to make the total package even better

Over a year later and my Dad still loves the staff in Assisted Living. It's a stable place and we recognize everyone. This is a clean, quiet place with weekly activities. Bingo seems to be a hit. Added bonus of switching to the on-site primary care physician and weekly mobile lab tests.

The staff at the Benedictine Living Community at the Shrine is absolutely amazing! My parents are on the independent side, and everyone has been so amazingly friendly! When I walk down the halls, the residents say hello, and the staff stop to ask how things are going. The administration offices are always open and willing to talk to you. When I have concerns, they are addressed immediately. My father needs assistance with medication reminders, and the people who remind him are awesome! They know my parents, converse with them, making them feel heard, and they are genuinely concerned with their well-being. I don’t get the sense that they are just doing their job, but they genuinely care about my parents. My parents have told me they love it there. Kathy, Mark, Shannon, and the ladies who answer the phone- everyone there is fantastic! Sometimes I need to think through a decision but want someone to listen, help organize my thoughts, and seek an idea - they do all of this and much, much more. I cannot express enough appreciation and gratitude for these people in this community - staff and residents. My parents love the food there, and the church services (mass) are so welcoming. The sisters there are so sweet to my parents and me. The cost for independent living at this facility offers exceptional value. Pricing is competitive and aligns well with the quality of services and amenities provided here. It’s refreshing to find such a favorable balance between affordability and the high standard of care provided to my mom and dad. Thank you to everyone at the facility! You guys are amazing!!

For a year now I have lived at the Benedictine and time has proven it was the right choice and a good fit for me. Surrounded by kind people, the beauty of nature, and a most generous and helpful staff, I feel safe here. I can have my privacy as I need it and have community when I want it. There are interesting activities ( this week baby goats ). I see deer, and being near the Mississippi flyway, I see wintering bald eagles and migrating flocks large and small. In many ways I see coming here as a gift to my children as well as to myself. I have whole heartedly recommended the Benedictine to others as I do to whomever may read this.
