I wish it was possible to leave a negative star review but one star is going to have to do. We moved my elderly father in three years ago and have since watched him deteriorate under the lack of care from Avamere. There has been over 5 new directors and it’s rare to see the same employee more than twice which kind of explains the lack of care and attention. To top it all off they raised my dad’s monthly rate from almost 6k a month to 11k a month without any care conferences and have now sent a past due bill to collections as his monthly retirement payments couldn’t keep up. The food they serve is processed crap with no flavor and the kind of stuff you would imagine wing served in a prison or bad public school. They are masters of making up charges and will tack stuff onto your bill without consent and then not provide the service. I stepped in over a year ago and had to shower my dad, make sure he eats and also do laundry which we were being charged for and never received the service. These people are sharks and prey on elderly people on Medicare if you live your family member do not send them here it’s one of our biggest regrets as my dad advances with dementia. He is now in the veterans home and looks ten years your get, has been eating three meals a day, is showered regularly and is as happy as I have seen him in years. Avamere is the worst possible place you could send a loved one if you want them to be cared for the rooms are dirty and have ants everywhere and they don’t do anything above the bare mini and charge you for the maximum.

Michelle was so helpful, sweet and very knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions clearly and completely. My dad and I were very impressed with the facility also. It is clean, bright and welcoming. The location is close to everything while being in a quiet setting.

The tour we took for memory care at Avamere Bethany. The staff was very friendly and we had quality time visiting the facility and getting all our questions answered.

Lack of communication between staff. Told to buy everything edible. Took time and money and none of the staff had heard of that. Things are different than told on tour. We were told they would mount the TV and they refused. Told to bring in more clothes and shoes. They do not use them. Aids bring in other patients into room to toilet. Diet is rarely right. Overall we are happy with surroundings and staff. We just wish there was better communication. Lovely place and pleasant staff. We don't want to come across as complainers. We are overall happy.
