The staff was always friendly and helpful at the Keller location. While we were frantically trying to find a place for Dad since we could no longer care for him, they expedited the process and we were able to get him moved in the next day. The place was always clean. We had Thanksgiving dinner there, the food was excellent. I did notice they keep a close eye on the residents which is comforting.

The staff was great. They took good care of my mom. She was always clean and dressed. They did activities and tried to involve my mom. The food was good. My only complaint was her clothes would get put away in someone else's closet. The staff would go and hunt them down but it was a little frustrating.

I can’t say enough positive things about Avalon. I became my grandmother’s primary caregiver in early 2018. She had been in an assisted living facility for over 4 years but her care had progressed to a state that she needed true memory care. While I was not always pleased with her care at the current location, I was at a loss on where we could move that I would feel comfortable. Avalon was a referral by a family member because of the wonderful experience her aunt had at the Lake Worth location. Getting to know Avalon...From the moment the Area Director reached out to the time my grandmother passed, I felt like my own family members were caring for her. And me for that matter. The initial visit can always be 5 star but I will tell you that each experience I had was 5 star. The site director communicated with me regularly and helped to educate me when my hospice team would confuse me. And sometimes she would just call to tell me something funny my grandmother did. The facility itself was clean, the individual rooms were very nice and the food was fresh. The staff was always so friendly and social with the residents. I don’t live close to the facility so I wasn’t able to visit on a regular basis so I showed up different times of day when I would visit. Every time I showed up the experience was the same-the staff working with the residents, feeding them, celebrating birthdays or ensuring comfort in the open tv area. It was so refreshing to know my grandmother was in excellent care, especially since she could not communicate with me. Hands down without a doubt I will recommend Avalon as a first look for anyone trying to decide on care for their family member.

My wife had advanced Parkinson's disease and some other medical problems, and I needed a place to take her where I had some confidence that she would get a good level of care and attention. I have had some experience with long-term care facilities in the past with some older relatives and friends, and was very reluctant to place her in any care facility, but due to her physical and mental health I had little choice. My kids and I did quite a bit of research and met with several care facilities, and decided that Avalon Memory Care was the most promising. Every meeting we had with the Avalon representatives, including a preliminary visit to their Keller TX location gave us a good feeling about their organization. So when she was discharged from the hospital my wife went straight to Avalon in Keller TX. The manager for the Keller TX facility is amazing. She consistently impressed my family with her concern for my wife's comfort and care. I saw this attitude extended to other patients there as well. I spent quite a bit of time there visiting my wife and I had the opportunity to see the Avalon staff members interact with numerous patients. They showed the same level of care and attentiveness at all times. My wife was only a resident there for a few weeks, but once she was there we never had any regrets or second thoughts about placing her in that facility. If anyone has a loved one with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Dementia or other memory issues, that needs to be admitted to a care facility, I believe you would find no better place to put them than at Avalon Memory Care.
