Aspire Transitional Care

Aspire care has not been the greatest, nor should it have a good rating. With the proof of many family members come in and out, my family being cared for in this “here we care about our health and patients facility” there has not been a change in how they feel and how they are being taken care of. The nurses and staff here are tremendously rude, aggressive, and seem to care more about lying about Doctors order and more. With the situation my family member is going through, this care place has nowhere accountability for their actions. They simply just let you know, “Well if you don’t want to be here, you can leave” “If you don’t want to stay here, you’re more than welcome to leave”. They obviously don’t prioritize their patients needs. Also, to the company, Please take note that your nurses should not be gossiping behind doors, about one’s way of saying and actions with their patients. Patients and the people you care for have the right to maintain what they want and what they need. If they say they’re uncomfortable, get your job done and consider fixing the issue professionally. Lastly, it’s TOTALLY UP TO THE PATIENTS! These staff have to understand the difference between refusal and not being comfortable. also, I know it isn’t right when a person is working with their parents, in this specific field. It’s not a place to just look forward to the paycheck, this place messed with many peoples’ families. Save your family members by never considering placing your loved ones here.

DONT SEND YOUR FOLKS HERE!!! This place will forget about their patients and threaten you to stay. They want your insurance money. They won’t feed your family members and deny them pain meds. TAKE THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE. It’s just an act! There for rehabilitation purposes and their negligence sent them back to the hospital. EVIL PLACE!

I have no idea why Aspire’s rating is so low. They are absolutely fabulous and I give them so much credit in my grandma’s recovery. When my 92 year old grandma fell and broke her hip and hand, I checked online reviews to decide on a skilled nursing facility. I saw that the Haven of Camp Verde was rated the most highly, so I almost took her there, until I visited it first. I’m so glad I decided to go with Aspire instead. Aspire is a newer construction, the rooms are comfortable, and from the beginning, the staff really impressed me. Shannon was so responsive in coordinating her transition to Aspire, and came herself to move grandma from Verde Valley Hospital to Aspire. The nursing staff is awesome, and they were so attentive in regularly checking in on grandma, making sure she had all her needs met, monitoring any medical issues that came up. Sydney, Preston, and Abbey are rockstar nurses and always chatted with grandma and gave her words of encouragement as well as looking after her medical needs. Bryan, the supervising NP, kept a close eye on grandma and would give me regular updates on her condition. The PT and OT staff were also fantastic, Beau is fantastic at finding the perfect PT for grandma to work around her injuries, grandma loves Kyla and Laura, and Allison is an awesome OT! Overall the full time OT and PT staff are great at pushing grandma to get her back to baseline while also respecting the limitations of her injuries and age. Honestly the most difficult part of this whole experience was dealing with grandma’s health insurance who kept trying to discharge her prematurely, and fighting to keep her covered while she got the care she needed. In this, Maggie Brinkley was an absolute rockstar. She is the director of social services there, and is the one who advocates on behalf of patients. She was so helpful in answering all my questions, providing supporting documentation, following up with the insurance and appeal process and keeping me updated, an taking up the fight like she was fighting for her own family. I will always be forever grateful to her, without her help grandma would not have had the time she needed to progress to the level she is now. Keith Dorris, the executive director, was very helpful and advocated for grandma as well. Her doctor there, Dr. Balouch, wrote a letter strongly urging the medical need for grandma to remain at Aspire, and Bryan, the NP, took the time to write a letter stating the same, which helped us to win our appeal with her insurance. We had one negative experience with a temp OT, but that was an anomaly. The regular staff consistently demonstrate genuine care and dedication. If you’re looking for somewhere to send your loved one, send them to Aspire.

Don’t send your loved ones here. My 80 year old grandma was found on the floor in the bathroom and was taken to the emergency room due to a fall that happened while she was in their care. Who knows how long she was laying there. She came here to recover from a stroke she had a couple weeks ago. They are obviously not taking proper care of the patients here after reading previous reviews. After my grandmother had scans done at the ER, Aspire refused to have my grandma back as a patient and left her in the care of Flagstaff medical center. They said they are unable to provide care for her even though they were well informed of her medical history before she was taken as a patient. Not only did this ruin her progress but it has also set her back. My aunt was in contact with Keith, the executive director. “The safety and well-being of our patients and team members is our top priority. Please reach out to me directly so that I may address your concerns more effectively. Sincerely, Keith, Executive Director” A response is unnecessary unless you have genuine concern for this situation Keith
