Ascension Living Casa Scalabrini Village

Nicest, resonable independent living facilities I have visited. Staff is frindly helpful, apartments well-designed and food is exceptional.

Our family celebrated our Mother's 100 birthday party at Casa. The staff was wonderful in setting up the room and serving our family brunch. Their attentiveness was great. My Mother was thrilled. Thank you so much.

My wife had rehab here for 2 months. We were lucky to have some people who are superstars. Victoria a nurse who works hard and always has a smile. She was incredibly kind and caring. The other was Eva, CNA. She was gentle moving my wife. She was always friendly and happy to see my wife and I. We loved hearing her stories. Eric who did rehab with my wife was gentle and kind. He was always friendly and understanding. He pushed my wife without being to overaggressive. These employees were more like family. Take care of these people as they are the heart and soul of your facility.

My mom was at Scalabrini REHAB after a hospital stay while she recovered from a heart attack, and low oxygen levels. Admission went smoothly, and she really enjoyed the room and staff. Scalabrini is beautiful and clean! Her nurses and CNAs were very nice and took excellent care of her. My mom has early stages of Dementia and forgets from one minute to the other, so she kept pressing the call light for help. The CNAs and Nurses were always smiling, and willing to help. None of them got frustrated with my mom, and everyone had great patience with her! The PT was great and worked well with my mom. They spent time teaching her exercises and were patient with her to make sure that she could use a walker again. The care my mom received was top notch! Everyone we encountered during this time was extremely professional and helpful. A special thank you to nurse Victoria whom took care of my mother daily, as if she was her own mother. Victoria is a gift to Scalabrini! They are blessed to have her on staff! The food was good, and my mom was given extra food and snacks if she was hungry in between meals. If my mom ever needs rehabilitation for anything, I will make sure that it will be at Villa Scalabrini UNIT A. Although my mom wanted to go back home, she truly felt safe, comfortable, and cared for at Scalabrini rehab!! I personally trusted the staff, and was able to sleep at night when my mom was there knowing that she would be well taken care of. During discharge nurse Victoria took extra time to make sure that I understood everything I needed to take care of my mom, and told me to call the Unit anytime if I had any questions. This is the BEST facility I have encountered while caring for my mother. I wish I could give Scalabrini REHAB UNIT A more than five stars!
