My mom has laid in the same night gowns with no shower for weeks at a time. The food is terrible. If my mom didn't like it there I would move her

My sister Tiffany is struggling, isolating ,and is loosing her mobility due to MS. at the age of60. I live in a different state so when she fell in her home she needed a Respite Care .I was hoping this would be the answer for her to see there is more safer options for her to have fun, socialize, nourish her mind and body while she was mending and maybe she would consider moving in. This is certainly not the case. Took five days for her to get one shower and they got her cast wet. There was dirty clothes in the closet that did not belong to her, her bed was made once, ans she has only gone to 1 social activity card game in one week. There has been no PT or O.T .I left a voice mail and email for the community that was never returned. I am heartbroken because she's going to go back home and isolate again from this experience. I just can't believe that something that could've been so amazing turned out so bad. After two attempts one phone call one email I decided to send this review. I would think twice before having anybody stay there. It is supposed to be for a better quality of life and this is not the case at all. UPDATE 6/27/25 nothing corrected , (1)shower ,(1)PT on 6/26/25 almost 2 weeks in. Basically she has been fed. She can't wait to get home because why wouldn't she ? What have I done ? I filled a complaint with the State and hopefully they will investigate. Did I mention I am doing all of this on a phone in Rehab myself in CO. for a new hip and broken arm? I cannot believe the nightmare this has become. Oh and I finally get one call back from the business office manager. No I am not going to return the call.It took two weeks for this one. Maybe the news stations will be my next try. If this is happening to my sixty year old sister with m s I am sure it's happening to more than one. Please. Don't send your love ones there.

My friends husband was in this horrible place. All the nurses need to be fired. All they did was yell and scream at him. Took his call button and put across the room. This is sick these people are. He has cancer and he was going to die. Thank God they came and took him out of this place. They didn't even feed him. They waited half of the night before he was given his meds. Run from this place. Don't put your love ones in this place. They will not come out alive.

My Dad was at Anchor lodge for 18 days. He only became more and more frustrated the whole time he was there. Physical therapy didn't help him what so ever ever. He fell at least 6 times that I know of. I came in there and found him on the floor crying for help. How can physical therapy help if the patient falls over and over. Also they lost his glasses and I personally had to go looking for them. Nobody there cared what so ever. They were never found either. If my Dad was walking I could see how he may have wandered around and misplaced them ,but that was not the case. Its a big deal because with his confusion a eye test will be a big challenge for him .When I came to bring him home the nurse said "I hope you have help at home because he's going to drive you crazy" My Dad is much calmer at home. Thank god ! He will never see that place again. Very disappointing.
