American House Wildwood Village

I can’t say enough good about this place! Obviously, it is visually appealing the moment you step into the building. Clean, neat and doesn’t have any hint of the odor that so often makes itself known in senior living facilities. The staff is friendly and attentive. About a month ago I got a call from my cousin that my aunt was actively dying and if I wanted to see her again it was time to head to St. Louis. My husband and I made the trip and arrived 5 hours later. All of her attendants introduced themselves and said to contact them for anything we needed. Later that evening my husband retired to a hotel and my cousin and I settled in for the night. We were told that they would bring blow up mattresses, sheets, blankets and pillows for us. Apparently there was a mix up in where those items were—they apologized profusely for the delay and an hour or so later one of the staff brought us each a new in box mattress along with new sheets. We are pretty sure someone made a special trip to the store in order to provide us with what we needed to be comfortable. We settled in and were able to be at my aunt’s side when she passed. As arrangements were being made, we were treated with compassion and an unhurried spirit that was so comforting. I honestly can’t imagine a better place for an aging loved one.

Recently we unexpectedly found ourselves looking for an Assisted Living community for our mother after almost eight years in an Independent Living place that couldn't provide us an assisted living apartment after waiting 7 months. We decided to tour American House after hearing some good reviews and recommendations. The staff really went above and beyond, giving us a full tour and showing us an available studio apartment. We decided on the spot to take the room. Our acclimation specialist, Aleigha, has been amazing, making sure our mom feels welcome and settled in her new home. The whole staff has been accessible and ready to answer our questions and help my mom get her bearings. If you're looking for a caring staff and a beautiful facility, give American House at Wildwood Village a look.

It was a very tough decision moving my mother-in-law into assisted living. I reviewed about 15 different places in my area and we went and toured 5. We choose Wildwood Village for its warmth of the staff, the quality of the facilities and the amenities they offer along with a few other items. She has been there for a couple of months and It feels like home to her now. The staff has been amazing! Some she considers friends now (Aleigha, Eric and Tish) and many others who have been so thoughtful, helpful and kind.

I literally cannot say enough good things about Aleigha and Katrie. Reaching out about memory care for a loved one is not easy, but they made the entire experience feel so manageable. They were SO kind, patient, & took the time to listen to my concerns. They explained everything in a way that was easy for me to understand & made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. If you’re looking for a place where people truly care, I would highly recommend working with them! ◡̈
