Woods at Canco

Moving my mom into senior living was one of the biggest decisions our family has made, and nearly five years later, we couldn't be happier with our experience at Woods of Canco. The staff is genuinely kind, accommodating, and always puts the residents' best interests first. They treat everyone with dignity and respect, and it's clear they truly care about the people who live there. If they ever have concerns about a resident's health or well-being, they handle the situation professionally, thoughtfully, and with an appropriate level of privacy while always prioritizing safety. The activities are another huge highlight. There is truly something for everyone, with a variety of events and programs that appeal to different interests and activity levels. It's wonderful knowing my mom has opportunities to stay engaged, social, and active. While the monthly cost may seem high at first glance, we've found it to be well worth it. Residents have so much available to them, and having everything they need right at their fingertips provides tremendous peace of mind for both residents and their families. The dining experience has also been excellent. The kitchen staff does a great job, and the menus are varied, balanced, and thoughtfully planned. If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be to expand the transportation schedule a bit. That said, it's a relatively minor issue compared to everything else they do so well. Overall, Woods of Canco has provided my mom with a safe, welcoming, and caring community for almost five years. Knowing she is surrounded by people who genuinely look out for her has been invaluable. I would absolutely recommend Woods of Canco to anyone looking for a senior living community for a loved one.

My mother-in-law is a happy resident at the Holiday Woods at Canco, and we would give them 10 out of 5 stars if it were possible. The entire staff is incredible - so patient, understanding, skilled and creative. Lisa, Morgan, Cathy - all the administrative staff and grounds folks and kitchen staff make Canco a place that we have total confidence in. My mother in law is happy, thriving and feels safe there, and we never have to worry about her environment or safety. Do not pass go on this facility - it is outstanding.

My sister lived at The Woods at Canco for 10 years. She enjoyed the location, and the people! Independent senior living was a great step for her to be able to live in a safe community. Her meals were provided and activities were available if she wanted to participate, yet she could maintain independence and live her life as she chose to.

I am leaving this review on behalf of Sam Henderson, who is a resident and absolutely enjoys where he is we couldn’t ask for him to have better care. The staff in the servers of food is top-notch excellent everybody is so friendly and if you wanna have lunch, it’s like a little restaurant and you’re more than welcome to go and interact with other residents also but above and beyond there isn’t one person of one staff member who isn’t at the top of their game they’re also friendly and caring. We couldn’t ask for a better place for Sam to be, and he also agrees he made the right choice.
