Woodlands Village

This place gets 4 stars only because the facility is a bit dated but going through complete renovation. My mom’s unit is a studio with new carpets and floors. When I arrived to move her in it looked great, still little tasks to accomplish but the staff was super responsive and helpful. The entire process of getting accepted and doing the paperwork was very easy, straightforward and well organized. Staff was clear and accurate on costs and timing and in my case moved mountains to get her in quickly. Value is extraordinary and fantastic as similar places charge almost double for the same amenities. Food smells and looks great absolutely restaurant quality. Activities and excursions are abundant. Finally staff is super friendly, caring, helpful and was great to work with. Well done.

What stood out the most was the personal attention and genuine care shown by the team—especially the director, who worked after hours to help us furnish the unit and make it feel like home. It’s clear she truly knows her residents and takes the time to build real relationships with them and their families. The cost was surprisingly reasonable compared to other facilities we looked at, and we never felt like we were sacrificing quality. The facility is clean, well-managed, and has a warm, homey atmosphere. We also appreciated the constant communication throughout the process. Whether it was updates, check-ins, or answering our many questions, they were always available and responsive. I highly recommend Woodlands Assisted Living to any family looking for a place where your loved one will be safe, cared for, and truly valued.

My dad called Woodlands Village home for 13 years. We are moving him to Virginia to be closer to family but it was a difficult decision for us. He has been very comfortable at Woodlands. It is a well run friendly place and very affordable. His single bedroom on the Independent Living side was just the right size for him and his dog. He enjoyed the company of friends, and looked forward to poker nights. We appreciated the efforts of the staff who helped him through several hospitalizations and one evacuation. Thanks to Saber, Bob and Cat for taking my calls, checking on dad and keeping me informed. We enjoyed many meals with dad in the dining hall and every evening included the remark “good soup!”. The serving staff was always cheerful and so helpful. I know he will miss Woodlands.

My dad was very reluctant to move to independent living at Woodlands. It took a few attempts. The folks at Woodlands have been very supportive. His apartment is really perfect for him. Although the dining room is a bit far, he seems usually, to be able to manage it. The other residents have been lovely and accepting of my dad. He is mostly deaf, a bit of a challenge. I believe my dad is in a much better place than when he was living alone in his trailer. He is enjoying the company and the activities of Woodlands. It has been a really great move for my dad.
