Dominique was so helpful - going above and beyond to answer all of our questions. Her own grandpa lives here so she knew all the questions we would have - because she’s had them too. She helped my husband and I and his parents to realize that the best time for a move is NOW - when we are organized and in control. We don’t want to wait until a health crisis hits and forces a change. The food is great the grounds are beautiful and the staff are so friendly.

My mother lives here. Management has proven to play games with the contract, putting half a sentence in the main contract (about the utilities) and the other half in the addendum (most people won't catch that) and tried to screw her out of $100. I had to really fight to get it back. (They want you to turn on the utilities on THE DAY YOUR CONTRACT STARTS - even if it's not the day you move in, and even if you need the water and electricity to clean your old place. There's no room for overlap. They charge you $50 per utility, on top of the actual utility bill, if you don't.) Her oven leaks gas/heat out of the back burner, to the point where her frying pan (stored on the stove) began to smoke. After a "repair man" was sent out, she was told this is "normal." Now I'm fighting to get it replaced. Finally, they have a referral plan. If you refer someone, and they move in, you get a $3,000 kick back. I was there when they told her and there's a big sign in the office. Mom did refer someone, and they did move in, but management is giving mom the run-around, trying not to pay her. There are some good things about this place, but I'd be careful not to let your loved ones deal with "management" without supervision, lest they try to screw them over the way they keep trying to screw my mother over. Update, we finally did get the money she was promised, and her stove was finally replaced (after they left it in the middle of her kitchen for a week till someone came and shaved the counters to make it fit, leaving a blanket of dust on everything). Again, after many emails and follow-up/fighting for it on my part. She also got her rent raised $126/mo. and a landscaping bill for $75/mo. attached to her rent. I understand they are working towards attaching the outside watering and landscaping to the tenant costs, which means a higher water bill. I do hope their new landscapers will actually fertilize, weed, trim, clean up after mowing, and maintain the roses since she is being billed for it. Like I said, the place isn't all bad. We do enjoy some of the music performances and games. The staff and medical office are friendly and helpful. The wifi absolutely sucks, as mentioned in a number of reviews. The TV reception is likewise frustratingly spotty. The food is pretty much the low sodium, not spicy, try to please everyone variety. The apartments are a good size, and mom's place has plenty of storage, while the grass and rosebushes die in the front yard.

My mother will be moving into Westmont Village in the next few weeks. Community Relations Director, Domonique Simmons was very professional in thoroughly addressing all of our questions. She was patient in explaining the application and rental process. She took us on a tour of the property and highlighted the many amenities. As we walked around with her we observed her cheerful interactions with staff and residents. It was clear to us that she is well thought of and that the residents really like her. The property is clean, beautifully designed and has all the features that my mother desires. I highly recommend your consideration it for you assisted living.

My mother-in-law moved into Westmont a few weeks ago. We've been pleased with the staff and her care. Angel at the front desk was helpful and patient, answering our questions about the facility. The cleaning ladies have been great! We had technical assistance with mom's phone when there was an issue with her calling out. Dominique looks out for the best interests of all residents and assists newcomers with making connections. All of this excellent service gives peace of mind to the family. We will recommend this facility and staff to others!
