Westbrook Terrace Senior Living Reviews

My father lived here for the final eight months of his life. Our family was blown away by the kindness and compassion of the staff every single day. In particular, Whitney, Lisa, and Cheree went above and beyond to treat him with the utmost dignity and make him feel safe, but the entire staff is compassionate and well-trained. Not only did they take great care of our father, but they were warm and empathetic to our family during difficult times, and we will remain grateful always. It’s a smaller place, residents receive a lot of attention, and it’s a warm, manageable environment for dementia patients. The food was very good, too. I would recommend it without hesitation.

My mother was in the Arbors memory care unit for almost two years before she passed away in 2020. We found the staff to be very caring and responsible. They called when they had concerns. We checked in almost daily and we got to know many of the other residents and their families. Watching your parent lose their memory, personality, and ability to function is a hard thing. The Arbors personnel took good care of my mother and assisted us with every step of our journey. We felt very blessed to have a facility like this in Jefferson City and I would recommend them to anyone.

My mother lived at Westbrook Terrace for a little over a year, and then moved to the Arbors. Staff at both facilities have always been caring and attentive. They treat her like family. Her physical health and happiness have improved greatly in her time there. Both facilities are warm and cozy, and staff seem to go to great lengths to make residents feel at home. Communication with staff is great - no request seems to bother them, and they are quick to notify us of any issues. I can't think of any better place for my mother to have been during the Covid-19 pandemic. Quarantines are really hard on those with dementia, but staff went above and beyond to try to make things as comfortable as possible - providing activities, allowing me to send videos they would show to mom, etc.

We had to move mom last April 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic and the Arbors has turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to her. Everything was closed to new residents at the time but Carrie went above and beyond to get approval for mom to be allowed to move in. We couldn't go in at the time so it was very stressful but when we would call(daily or every other) to check on mom they were always very understanding and reassuring that mom was doing great. Monica is just the best and is always there for us when we have needed her. Fast forward a year later(now) and mom is settled in and happy as can be. She is well taken care of and the staff is great. They do seem to truly care about mom and all the residents. We are so blessed and thankful for the Arbors and would highly recommend.
