The "hands-on staff" at Primrose, the young ladies and men who interact with residents on a regular basis, are tremendous and caring professionals. Their love for my parents knew no bounds. And our family is appreciative. This, however, cannot be said about the management (a person called Patty, to be specific). She refuses to return telephone calls and, apparently, thinks she's too important and too busy to provide answers to family members of residents in her team's care. I've heard horror stories about Ms. Patty. Vindicative, careless, egotistical and insecure are terms that come to mind. I would highly recommend Primrose Retirement Community of Jefferson City, but I can't. Ms. Patty is a stain, and a drain on a team that tries hard to offer quality care. That's a shame. AND A QUICK UPDATE: Primrose corporate responded to my review, providing a phone number for me to call and discuss their incompetence and unreliability. The phone number is a disconnected line of an insurance agency in Aberdeen, South Dakota. When I found the actual number for the corporate office, I tried to discuss the Jefferson City site director's arrogance and my call went directly to voicemail for a person who migh exist, and might not. Primrose corporate may be grooming its site directors to behave in an unprofessional manner with a tremendous void in customer service. Ms. Patty (whoever she is) serving as the site director, seems to believe that she's working in a high-level, executive position and doesn't have to bother with clients (past or present) who have basic questions. Shame on these people. Again, the young ladies and men providing hands-on care for residents are not to blame. The disconnected site director and her bosses in South Dakota are.

Primrose was the last of 3 retirement communities my sisters and I visited while looking for assisted living care for our mother. We knew we were in the right place for Mom within minutes of walking into the facility. The first thing we noticed was that there was none of the odor sometimes found in retirement homes. Primrose is beautiful, clean, and well-lit. There are a half dozen activities daily for residents to take part in, as well as several outings a month. Mom is very comfortable in her apartment and we know that she's always safe and well-taken care of. But it's the staff that makes Primrose. They show the residents so much love and are kind, not only to Mom but to our family. We appreciate all they do.

Primrose has been the perfect place for both of my parents. The staff is nothing but warm and caring. I 100% feel my parents are cared for, loved, and made to feel like they matter when I’m not available to be there.

Horrible and vindictive management. Got trespassed for visiting a resident at family request wasn’t even being disruptive and left on good standing. hope management had fun ruining a resident and family’s dinner 🙂
