Vintage Crest Senior Apartments

I have been here since it opened in 2005. I looked for months before finding Vintage Crest and found nothing that was even close regarding rent, amenities, safety, neighbors, etc. Even now, there are very few senior places that compare favorably. Management takes care of any issues and the location is great.

On Monday, April 15, 2024, My husband and I viewed a 2-bedroom Unit there for the 2nd time and were excited to move forward. We met with Madeleine Garcia, gave her the requested 2 Applications and $100.00 Money Order (50.00 for each App...UGH!!!). The Application process was quite extensive, also requiring 3 months prior bank Statements... Within a few hours of returning home; I was SHOCKED to see that someone had attempted to make an ACH Payment to THEIR Capital One Account for more than $2100.00; forcing my account to be overdrawn! My stomach literally hit the floor!!! After staying up most of the night in an absolute panic and speaking to the Chase Fraud department who gave me more information, there is no doubt in my mind that this was done by someone at Vintage Crest!!! The timing is just too odd...!!!! Besides, when I reviewed the 3 Statements I had given her, I saw that one included a picture of a check I had written to a church we had visited, giving (her...???) easy access to my Account and Routing #. I'm fortunate that Chase worked very quickly to cancel the fraudulent payment and credit me back the $. I'm thankful I didn't have more in the account at that time. I have subsequently had no choice but to close the account and sadly, as much as we liked the place, decided to pass on moving into the Unit. It's (IMHO) too dangerous to give these people (or anyone else for that matter...), full access to monitor your accounts, particularly in the times we are living in. Sadly, even people who seem to be nice and professional (Ish... They NEVER answer their phones... How professional is that...???), you never know when one is actually a full blown CROOK!!! P.S. I was THRILLED that Chase was able to void the add'l $200.00 Money Order she requested as a "Holding Deposit." I doubt I would have ever gotten it back; so I just took my $ and ran. Don't mess with God's anointed...!!! Oh to be loved and protected...!!!

Better than other senior places.

Just move to this community and what a warm welcoming! Madeleine and Karin the office staff are so kind and always willing to help. The neighbors are welcoming and friendly. Grounds are well maintenance plus beautiful. Highly recommend a place for Seniors!
