Village of the Falls

My Dad was a resident for 10 months in the skilled nursing facility at the VOF. I truly could not ask for a better group of people to take care of my dad for his final year. From the administration, activities director, and most importantly the aides and nurses, he was truly loved and found a second family there. No nursing home is perfect and there will always be things you want different because it is your family. However, when compared to other facilities this place is top of the line in my opinion. A very clean facility with some of the best workers I have ever met doing a very hard job. If you are looking for a place your loved one can stay and you can rest at night knowing they are being taken cared for correctly, this is the place for you. The compassion and caring my dad received and the care the entire facility gave he and I during his last days will never be forgotten.

Nice facility and decent food, but my father was horribly treated and this facility did not execute his care plan accordingly. The representative we met with laid out a care plan of PT 2x daily on the rehab unit. With a different therapist every day, and apparently no charting between them, he had evaluations for 3 days prior to even attempting any rehab. While the majority of the day shift was ok, the night shift left residents on their own for egregiously long periods of time. My father requested his V movement disorder medicine which is Q4 hours and it took THREE HOURS for anyone to answer the call bell. This was evening too, not even middle of the night. Then, after waiting two hours for pain meds they doubled the regular dose without his consent, leaving him unable to function for therapy that day. In addition to that, buses and aids refused to transfer him from bed to chair and back, citing that was therapy’s job - except they were only there once per day. That, in addition to being offered bathing support once in 7 days, I could never, EVER recommend this facility. I understand skilled nursing is woefully under resourced, but negligent behavior is absolutely unacceptable.

I was a little apprehensive about going to nursing home right from the hospital! This being said, I must honestly say that this nursing home exceeded My expectations. This place was clean, cozy, comforting, and an extreme blessing to me! The nursing staff were professional, Caring, And friendly. You got the sense that they really cared about you and your health. Accolades go to the supporting staff in their kindness and their friendliness and their concern for your health. The OT and the PT both have an exceptional program in order to get you home quickly. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs short term skilled nursing. By the way, the Meals weren’t too shabby! I would highly recommend Village of the Falls To anyone who needs short-term skilled nursing! Thank you to all of you for a job well done!!!❤️

I couldn’t ask for a better place for my mom and her last days of this earth!! Village of the Falls and all of its staff are amazing, compassionate, caring, lovable, efficient and effective!!! Starting from the top the director Heather, admissions Misty, office manger Lauren, all of the nurses, aids, the cleaning staff everyone are completely fantastic!!!!! Mom started in the Assisted Living side and ended up in the skilled side and she loved every part of living there!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I truly love all of you at The Village of the Falls!!!! Thank you for EVERYTHING!!!
