Villa at the Lake

Villa at the lake is a professional community that truly cares about their residents and staff. I really enjoy the fact they plan events to keep the residents active. The Villa takes pride in offering an array of engaging and meaning experiences for their residents. The staffs kindness and attentiveness to their community members is top notch and truly unmatched. Such an impeccable clean atmosphere. I highly suggest anyone who is considering Assisted living, to go to Villa At The Lake as they will treat your loved ones with the upmost highest respect, welcome them with open arms, give nothing but love , support and gratitude ♥️

My mother had been a resident for almost 2 years at the Villa. I can't begin to say enough wonderful things about them...from the beginning when I needed "respite" care for her, to getting a "double" room so she and my stepfather could be there together...and eventually her own "apartment" as she called it. The staff knew her so well, and were very accepting of her little repetitive idiosyncrasies, laughing at them every time...even though they heard them hundreds of times. The last month has been so difficult as she declined rapidly, but yet the staff continued to reach out and take care of her...and me! The Villa, while it is a residency..is small enough that it never felt like an "institution ." The activities were just what my mom needed, especially the music, and the activities staff knew what mom would like to do...and encouraged her to participate...even if it wasn't her favorite activity. I can't say enough good things about the Villa, except a huge thank you to everyone there!

For the past two years my mother has been a resident at Villa on the Lake. She is currently 102 years old and is doing well thanks to the attention and care that she constantly receives at the Villa. I cannot say enough about the compassion and care exhibited by the entire staff at this facility. My mom is extremely independent and it was difficult for all of us in making the decision for her to transition from living her entire life at home to being in an assisted living community. My wife and I are both physicians with my wife especially involved in placing patients in assisted living facilities here in California. Through meticulous research, we were able to locate this facility within a reasonable distance from other family members in the northeast Ohio area. They have not disappointed despite our initial skepticism. They have exceeded our expectations and continue to outdo themselves on a daily basis. The facility is extremely clean, the entire staff, from Laura McCoy the Executive Director to the nurses, aides, maintenance and others are all very kind, helpful and respectful. If there are any changes in my mom's day to day health, I am notified immediately. Being in California, I know that I do not have to worry about my mother. The simplest of things are quickly dealt with. When I was unable to get her lift chair fixed, Laura located another and quickly made the change. The food, as well as the special events, are impeccable. They are always open to suggestions for improvement. Since my mom has always been a polka enthusiast, Laura and Wendy have helped me in scheduling a polka band in the upcoming months. I'm even making the trip out as I know that she will be excited. If you are looking for a facility that is well kept with attentive staff that treats your loved one as family, this is the place for you!

The Villa staff cared for my father over the past four years. They truly treated him like family and helped him through a difficult time with my mother's passing and then moving directly into COVID. We were all able to feel comfortable that he was receiving excellent care and had developed a real trust with the staff. The facility is excellent and allowed him to create a comfortable place that truly felt like home. The staff was wonderful and not only helped my father, but went out of their way to assist all of the family in every possible situation. Thank you!
