Since I was a former Executive Director and Regional Director for senior living communities in Oregon, I was handed off the responsibility , from my siblings, to help find an independent living Senior Living Community for my mom in Chandler Arizona. I found myself at Verena of Gilbert after shopping four other senior living communities in the area. The other communities, I shopped certainly were impressive, and I was convinced already that my mom was going to move into the previous community, I had shopped, but, after doing my research on Verena and taking time to get to know some of the staff, the residents and also finding out about the leadership at Verena my attention started to shift heavily towards Verena. Not only was Verena Beautiful, spacious and filled with great staff and residents It had the type of leadership that I felt confident that my mom would thrive under. Michelle, the Executive Director of Verena, has been in the industry a long time and you can tell that she is very passionate about what she does and cares deeply for her residents and for the staff that serve the residents . In all of my experience in senior living, I have come to find out that these are the type of attributes that are necessary in order to build a culture in which seniors can thrive.I highly recommend that if you were looking for your parents and/or yourselves that you put Verena on your shopping list; I know you won’t be disappointed!

Verena at Gilbert is an outstanding community. warm, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. I was a guest at trivia with some of the residents and was so impressed by the joyful atmosphere and the sense of community. A special thank-you to Francine, the Resident Experience Director, for her exceptional warmth, energy, and dedication. She truly makes Verena a wonderful place to live. Highly recommend!

As a vendor providing entertainment to this community, we have an excellent vantage point to observe the resident experience. Warmth from the staff the moment you enter is a consistent experience. There is a clear commitment to the vitality and joy of the residents especially through their Activities Director, Fran Blumenthal. Verena @ Gilbert was our first choice three and half years ago. We find the staff easy to talk to and always accommodating. All the residents are friendly and the social activities are great. My husband and I made Verena our first experience when we choose to move into an Independent living facility and feel Verena is the right fit for us. It is home now.
