The Oaks

After initially putting my wife into a memory care (only) facility under the assumption that if MC was ALL they focused on, intuitively I thought they would be "better" at it. I couldn't have been more wrong. So after my wife spent 6+ months in the MC only facility, I decided to explore other alternatives. With the assistance of Sarah Anderson of Senior Care Arizona, I vetted ten different facilities in the east valley, deciding on The Oaks. My wife has now been here for four weeks and we couldn't be happier. In fact, I have moved into the assisted living area, which allows me to spend lots of quality time with my wife and have her lead a more normalized life. The Oaks is a smaller facility than many of the others with approximately 45 in MC and 70 residents in assisted living. From my initial meeting with Kevin Pugh, the Family Advisor (who is as good as they come), to my subsequent meetings with each of the various department leads, our experience has been nothing short of excellent. I held off writing this review, waiting for the balloon to burst, but it has not. We are pleased with every aspect of The Oaks, but the truly amazing thing is the friendliness and caring of the caregiver staff. They have embraced my wife as if she was a long-time friend and it has made all the difference in the world. You will be hard-pressed to find a better group! My wife just has an out-of-town sister visit for a few days and she couldn't believe how friendly everyone at The Oaks was, as well as the beauty and cleanliness of the facility. I almost forgot....The Oaks is very competitively priced in relationship to other comparable senior living communities and less expensive than the MC only facility where my wife initially resided.

Our experience with The Oaks Assisted Living & Memory Care has been nothing short of exceptional. From the very first visit, we felt welcomed, supported, and genuinely cared for. The staff is compassionate, attentive, and truly dedicated to the residents’ well-being. The community is always clean, bright, and inviting, and you can tell there is pride in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. What stands out the most is how personal the care feels—our loved one is treated with dignity, patience, and kindness every single day. Communication with families is excellent, and it gives us real peace of mind knowing our loved one is in such capable and loving hands. Choosing The Oaks was one of the best decisions we’ve made, and we are so grateful for the entire team. Highly recommend to anyone looking for assisted living or memory care in the Gilbert area!

We recently brought our family member to live at The Oaks community. From the very first contact through all the admissions process and now including living here the experience we have had with everyone on the team has been amazing. This is truly a first rate facility along with an incredible staff that really cares about their residents. Our family member “loves” everything and everyone about this community. We can’t begin to express our thanks to all of the staff and residents for making this his new home.

Nov 2025 update: I was visiting our mom and Rosario from the housekeeping staff came to her room. She was asking every resident what they are thankful for and writing their responses on beautiful fall leaves. She created a Thankful Tree...just because she wanted to. This is the kind of effort that ALL the staff at The Oaks puts into their care of residents and the facility. Great Job, Rosario. It turned out beautifully ❤️ Our Mom has been at the Oaks for 1 year. Of course, it's difficult leaving your home. But we can't be happier with the care she is receiving. All the staff are friendly and caring. She is very happy with the food. The dining options are varied and the hours are not restrictive. It was already a beautiful and well kept facility, but they are completing a face lift...modern and fresh colors. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, JUST VISIT! We went to 3 facilities in one day and we we walked into The Oaks, we knew we found THE ONE.
