My brother lived at the Verena for four years. There were periods when the services were erratic. With the new ownership, management, and upgrades to the facility, I would now say that, with the current pricing, this is a great value if you are looking for an independent living situation in Florida.

Do your research. They want a 30 day notice if you’re moving out even if you died! Having my dear cousin pass away early one morning we went to the office and they told me I still needed to give a 30 day notice -I said how can I give a 30 day notice if you die? now they’re trying to extort her family for more rent. Also check out who drives their bus from what I hear the person driving the bus does not have the correct license so there may be a lawsuit in their future because our cousin also fell on the bus as nobody was assisting and she feel! She said he was a dishwasher in the kitchen! Beware!
