I needed to give an update regarding my Mom’s stay at Valparaiso Senior Village Storypoint. I never thought that I would see this moment. Our family struggled with our Mom. She felt her family was throwing her away. We had a rough patch. She hated it, at first. Now I can say that she is okay with being here. She’s made friends, she looks forward to nickel BINGO, Bunkers, and the outings that they do every week. There is a CNA named Natalia. She has really helped her to feel comfortable along with a few others. I don’t know their names, but I personally asked her hers. This place is really a one stop shop. The doctors are responsive, and the physical therapy is phenomenal. She moves and gets around so much better. She loves and talks about the program. She actually misses it. The food is ok, but they do their best to provide them with everything they ask for. The receptionist Gail, knows it all. If you need something or someone, she is definitely your go to. Stephanie works the weekend, and she is so personable. She goes out of her way as well to help the residents. Then there is Christy. She is with housekeeping. She is consistent and makes sure Mom’s apartment is neat and tidy. She loves the bus driver for their outings. She takes good care of them while they’re out, and they all look out for each other. The only thing that has been an issue is the heat, but they have been working hard to fix that, and my last visit, it was nice and toasty. I am becoming more comfortable with her being there. If you know, that is a difficult thing, but I can say it is definitely different from when she first got there. They keep the place up, and clean! If you are looking for a place for your loved ones, I would highly recommend it here. But of course, you still have to make your own decisions, but our family is definitely satisfied. If you decide to check the place out, don’t hesitate to mention me, and the review! 🥰 I am able to say that this is a safe place for Mom! Thank you for all that you do! New owners & management. 4 floors. Assisted living apartments on floors 2-4. whereas Memory Care apartments are on the first floor. Dining room and Bistro. Bright and cheery. Lots of windows. View garden courtyard of flowers and sitting areas outside. Pergola sitting area just outside the front entrance. They have an employee at the Welcome desk qjen you arrive the front entrance. There is a huge inside sun porch off the front entrance too. You definitely will enjoy this place. My dad resided her for two years 2018-2020. He lived this place. Oh the apartments are large and roomy. Keep in mind you won't need a lot of furniture. Keep it simple and cozy to keep your apartment orderly & tidy.

The best assisted living ever. It is too bad my Uncle would not stay and insisted he go home. But he would not have changed his mind. Not of fault in the least of VSV-storypoint! I would recommend them to anyone looking for Assisted living/memory care!

When you first enter you will find the staff welcoming and the residents engaging in activities and conversation. Not only is the building beautiful but the environment feels like home. The dining is excellent and the care genuine. You will not be disappointed if you or a loved one becomes a member of this community.
