It's very clean in the common areas and tenants are very friendly and so is the staff. Maggie knows her tenants and where they live and can give you directions to their apartments. She's a very knowledgeable Sweetheart at this place....

I’m not familiar with what goes on here, but I have a gentlemen in my place of work that was dropped off by a driver. The frail old man was on a walker and oxygen machine and mentioned to me how he normally uses an electronic scooter but their van can’t accommodate that so he has to use the walker. They offered him no assistance with the door or anything to get inside the business. He also mentioned to me that he asked his driver if he could just wait because this was only going to take a minute or two as he was just paying his bill. The driver left him and he’s clearly in need of at least someone to make sure he’s good. I called here to try and get their driver back as soon as possible as he was feeling unwell. The lady who answered the phone had an attitude when I asked if she needed our address to know where to pick him up and she said “we dropped him off I think we know where to pick him up”. About 20 minutes passed and he mentioned to me he was running low on oxygen and was visibly and audibly having labored breaths. So I call back again and tell them his oxygen is low and ask if they can put a rush on it. Again I’m faced with attitude and she said “I’ve already told the driver that he needs to be picked up”. Maybe I’m looking into it too much but I have family members who are nurses and even they thought that was negligent. If he was my family member I’d hope the thousands of dollars spent every month was making sure he receives proper care. Like accommodating his main method of mobility. Or having a caretaker partner up with him to make sure he’s okay. Or a more customer friendly receptionist. Also, this isn’t his first time being dropped off here and it’s been a similar experience every time of trying to get the driver back here.

My in-laws lived at University Place for 4 years. After the second time of dealing with BED BUGS we moved them out. The move out processes was a nightmare! The apartment was left clean and carpets were spot cleaned. We were invoiced $4700 to repaint and replace the carpet in a 785 square foot apartment. The invoice was reduced to $2800 because we had paid for granite countertops to be installed in the kitchen and bathroom vanities. Ridiculous!!! In December of 2024 University Place changed their policy to 60 days notice. So along with the $2800 my in-laws were out an additional month’s rent. If you would like your elderly parents taken advantage of University Place is the place for them!

Kristin was so helpful and joyful. I consider her perfect. We look forward to an opening for Jerry and I to join your community. We are back on coast to get home sold in preparation of a 2 bedroom. Opening. Our tour Tuesday at 10 was filled with information, questions all answered and a feeling of inclusion. Took me a few days to find this portal. Thank you Kristin. Look forward to hearing from you.
