I think that Tucson Place at Ventana Canyon is a truly special community. Every time I walk in from the moment I arrive, I am greeted with breathtaking views of the Catalina Mountains that create a peaceful and uplifting atmosphere. The community is the perfect size—large enough to offer fantastic amenities and programs, yet intimate enough to feel warm, personal, and truly like home. They offer both assisted living and memory care, with a compassionate and dedicated team that supports residents with respect and dignity. One of the standout features is Dr. Peterson’s program, which brings a thoughtful, innovative approach to wellness and cognitive support. It’s clear that every aspect of care is designed with the residents’ well-being in mind and that makes me feel that they really care. I believe that Tucson Place combines natural beauty, excellent care, with a strong sense of community. It’s a place where residents can thrive—and families can feel confident and at peace knowing their loved ones are in .

Lisa is an exceptional sales representative who consistently goes above and beyond for residents and their families. Her warmth, professionalism, and deep compassion make her a standout in our community. She takes time to truly understand each person’s needs, making every interaction personal and meaningful. This is a very impressive place. My brother and sister-in-law in Tucson looked at 12 memory care facilities before they decided on this one for my mother, who has severe dementia. There are several reasons for this: the space is intimate (not sterile), residents are actually smiling and engaged, lots of social activities are planned daily, the healthcare managers are empathetic and professional; and we saw my mother go from someone who was very angry and raging to someone who was smiling and participating in social activities with other residents. Before we signed on the dotted line, the management there had separate Zoom calls with me and my other brother (we don’t live in AZ). What impressed me about this was that nothing was “staged“. The manager walked around the facility with her phone camera, showing us exactly what it looked like and felt like. That suggested that management was comfortable with transparency, and showing the facility as it was – with no pretense. After my mom arrived, the manager sent a video to us, showing my mother relaxed and smiling and singing with the other residents. This was quite moving to our family, because we had been feeling quite anxious about moving her from her house into a memory care facility. As a family, we are grateful for, and impressed with, this place. It is everything we could have hoped for: making us feel optimistic about this new (more social) chapter in our mother’s life. I would say it’s a hidden gem in Tucson!
