If I could give this place a negative 75, I would. We were so excited to move my grandma here from the hospital because they had good reviews and it's a newer facility. We were in for a very rude awakening! PLEASE, do not take your loved ones the The Willows. The staff is VERY rude and unprofessional. None of them ever knew what was going on when we asked questions. The nurses did not communicate from day shift to night shift. My grandma left this place with a bed sore. They lost her medication, her pain medication...which somehow mysteriously reappeared after we started raising hell over it. They had the bottle, but the pills were gone and then suddenly they were back in the bottle. She had hip replacement, so she had to be assisted when getting up and down and in and out of bed. Several times during the 2 weeks she stayed, she had to use the bathroom on her self because she couldn't get up and her call light was ignored by her nurse. We completely understand that the nurse could not come running as soon as the light went off....however, a grown woman having to pee on herself on several occasions, is absolutely ridiculous. She was having bladder issues, so they collected urine to check for infection, three days later when asked, we were informed that they did not show any results or show that it had been sent out. So it was collected again, said they sent it for a culture, never heard another word about it. The physical therapist is the one that found the bed sore, she informed my grandma, my sister and her day shift nurse. That evening when I came in and asked her night nurse what was being done about the bed sore, she had no idea what I was talking about, she said the day shift nurse did not note it in her chart. She then said that she would make sure it was treated and they would wedge her every couple hours to keep the pressure off....never happened. She saw her surgeon for a follow up on Thursday, he was very upset about the bed sore, and said that he had never had a patient get a bed sore after that type of procedure. And to beat it all....the food was nasty and cold every meal. I have never seen such awful care and such an awful place in my life. Trust me, I could go on and on about the awful experience, as there is much more to tell. Please, please do not leave your loved ones to be cared for by this awful facility.

They do not give out medications as directed by doctors. It is at the nurses discretion. There pharmacy is not local so it could take 8-12 hours before they get the medicines in for their patients. Patients are forgotten about when it comes to meals and if they push the call button l, then it could take an hour or longer for them to come. The only bright spot is the housekeeping and therapists that work here. The facility is very clean and the therapists are great with the patients. Think twice before sending your loved one here especially if they need a lot of care from nursing staff. If u look into the other reviews most of them are repeated by the same person at several other health facilities across the nation. That means that most of those recommendations are false and bought.
