i have been working at Villages of Windcrest for approximately 6 months. I retired from childcare after 41 years and had a large void in my life missing the caregiving. i absolutely love working with the residents and my coworkers. the residents are so loving and welcoming! The staff work well together, and management tries to accommodate employees and residents needs. No one can make or break your day, it's all up to each of us to make our day what it is, good or bad, no one do it for you. I am extremely happy working here and would definitely recommend Villages to both Residents and Employees. Do what you love , and Love what you do!!! ❤️ I Love my job!

I like the idea of the variety of activities available. We have sev different types of physical fitness classes plus mental agility (Trivia,Board games) tests, reading and music memory+ listening. Also,so very important, are the shopping trips to the outside community as well as the popular weekly luncheons outside. These, I feel, are necessary to keep us grounded in the real world outside this building. I feel we are especially fortunate to have a Lifestyle Director who listens to our ideas for any additional areas we the residence might be interested in and is very approachable, optimistic and flexible in her

I am so glad that my husband and I are living at the Villages in Fredericksburg. My husband had the beginning of dementia, but it progressed quickly so he is in memory care. I really cannot say enough good things about his treatment, I am now living in a room near the memory care unit and see first hand all the good care he is receiving. Like many dementia people my husband stopped eating but thanks to the caregivers and Executive Chef, Rob Stewart Bill is eating again.

While visiting a family member at the Village’s of Windcrest, I was very impressed with how friendly the staff were. Especially the management person I talked too. She was extremely friendly and answered all my questions she was very patient and kind. I would definitely place my family member in her care and the care of her team.
