My grandfather passed away while at Silvercrest. Our family did preparations for a wake - brought 3 cakes, a huge bouquet of flowers, prepared speakers, albums and personal items and invited many people who could not make his funeral but lived in the New Albany area. ...All to find out the day of our memorial to him, Silvercrest had completely shut down their parking place for renovations and half of the narrow road leading up to their facilities. Without even telling us this was happening. We were furious that they didn't think to tell us about this or give us any head's up at all. They made excuses that they didn't know until the night before. So what? Even then they should have let us know instead of surprising us the day of. Disgusting behavior from them on what was already a sad day for us and after we had prepared so much for the memorial. When we complained to their management, we just got the "Gen Z" stare. They completely shrugged us off at our grandfather's wake. It makes me sad my grandfather was here at all. He was very active and wanted more opportunities to have outside excursions but he also similarly complained staff was apathetic and just...shrugged him off. The level of care and compassion is gone here. Staff are pretty lazy, I suppose. Not proactive, not a good place. Find somewhere else where staff cares. Edit: Looking at their responses to low reviews, can't wait for their cookie cutter, non-reply. Run from this place.

As a senior, if you want a very nice, warm villa to come home to, if you want many well plan activates to keep you occupied daily, if you want to make new friends, if you want to have the access to well planned great dining experience and /or you just want to sit on your patio and enjoy the quietness, the Villas of Historic Silvercrest is your only choice. A choice that you will never regret. COME AND ENJOY THE GOOD LIFE at the SILVERCREST community!!!!!! Jerry Thomas Resident

Silvercrest is a beautiful, welcoming and safe facility. The staff’s interaction is warm, friendly and helpful. The nurses are skilled and attentive to our mom’s needs. In particular, Nurse Betty extends compassionate care and an empathetic ear to hard situations. She is kind and has a calming presence. She hears and reassures our mom which brings much comfort to her. Nurse Betty’s dedication to her residents is an incredible asset for Silvercrest. We are thankful for Nurse Betty and her exceptional care of our mom!

My grandma passed here last night and what she went through needs to be talked about. First, she was completely unresponsive and they marked her for getting up and doing physical therapy. Not only that, she was supposed to have scheduled comfort medicine, and we had to keep reminding the nurses station to give them schedule because they weren't giving them consistently. The worst part was hearing my Nanny cry out in pain, screaming, every time they changed her. They put Zinc on her, when she is allergic to it and it was put in her chart that she was allergic to it. It got to the point where she was bleeding from everywhere you could see while changing her. Very unprofessional, does not care about their patients.
