My dad moved into Bennett Place a year ago. Our family put a lot of thought moving him into this facility. He's 91 and it was a really hard decision. We chose this place because it just felt right. The staff is very warm and caring. I can tell that they love my dad. There's a huge room when you walk in the front door and that's where our family celebrated Christmas. We even brought his dog that my daughter keeps to visit. His room looks over the courtyard and he loves that. He has a really nice, big window and he enjoys watching the birds.

Great assisted living facility with lots of accommodations, including a beautiful courtyard, daily activities and a wonderful dining room. Very friendly staff. Overall, very satisfied with my visit to this facility would recommend for anyone looking for a small, quaint place for their loved one to live.

Updated review. Well, here’s the good and the bad. Good: Beautiful garden and courtyard, nice dining room and nice apartments with nice bathrooms. The people are nice overall. The bad: The lack of attentiveness. They aren’t paying attention when executing basic tasks; examples I’ve seen with my own eyes: spilling urine when emptying catheter bag, hanging catheter bag on wheelchair handle (it needs to be below bladder) not wiping the urethra when changing briefs, not washing face, not changing socks, no trash bags in trash cans, dirty clothes mixed with clean clothes, giving miralax daily when told to stop, 1+ hour call light wait times, or they don’t answer it at all. Not all aides have pagers or are lost. Some aides out if the building. You have to go daily and watch and monitor the care of your loved one constantly. It’s a struggle at $7k per month.

Bennett Place Assisted Living does a wonderful job supporting residents as they age in place. The staff are caring and attentive, and the environment truly feels like home. It’s clear they are dedicated to helping residents maintain dignity and comfort every step of the way. They offer a very welcoming environment, nestled perfectly in New Albany, Indiana. The staff are always great to work with! Highly recommend going to take a tour if you are searching for yourself, friend, or loved one.
