My mother spent the last year of her life in an independent living apartment isolating at The Tradition before she passed. She was 88, with the onset of dementia and rarely left her apartment. She became very confused and angry. She was also diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. I was her primary family care giver along with my sister as she became sicker and more confused by the day, eventually put under hospice care who prescribed morphine throughout the day and other drugs to manage her pain and symptoms. As adult children in our 60's, we expected the executive staff to listen and take seriously our input and concerns regarding her behavior with the dementia and being heavily medicated. They did not. My mom was not in her right mind especially at the end yet they allowed a gravely physically and mentally ill woman dictate no contact with family when she was finally taken to Hospice House to die. They also allowed a service person into her apartment without direct authorization from us after her death. They didnt bother to call personally to verify if it was ok to let a stranger in her apartment. When we finally found out she had been moved to Hospice House, all we got was one day before she died. I wouldn't recommend The Tradition if I were paid to.

I just love traditions for my mother in fort Worth at 3033 Acme Brick plaza there's just a few things there's some activities that she's been asked to participate in some of them she cannot but then there's some that she just loves like going to see the puppies and doing flower arrangements and going to see the movies at the movie theater and going to see the entertainment she just loves it and the food is just very exceptional and they give you plenty of food to eat and the waiters and waitresses are just always hand and foot and all the directors I've met they're very nice and the maintenance people on demand they get things done for you and the physical therapy people are very professional and upstanding but there's just something a few things that require a little bit of twerking but it's all good you know it's for the price of it it's kind of a more pricey place and it's also located close to a lot of stores and doctors offices I like the fact they have a transportation when family cannot take their family to their physicians when they have their appointments set for months ahead or something or months for that family can't be with them they TRADITIONS forgot her birthday on the 7th OCTOBER ON THE ACTIVITIES CALENDAR then there's another lady that has the same last name and they confuse that and give her my mother's breakfast but you know things are going to not ever be perfect and we shouldn't fuss too much cuz we are blessed thank you traditions for seeing to my mother, and another thing mother has always been checked on by the nurses the nurses aides every 2 to 3 hours to make sure she's okay your family member will never be left alone they keep a good eye on them believe me I didn't get any sleep the first week I've been playing ketchup sleep with Mother taking power naps 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 NOW IF WE COULD JUST WORK ON GETTING THAT LAUNDRY DONE THANK YOU TRADITIONS 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO WAKE US UP THAT EARLY I WAS THERE YOU WOKE US UP SO EARLY SOMETIMES WE COULDN'T GET TO APPOINTMENTS THANKS TRADITION

This place is a joke. The executive director Alun does nothing to fix the problems and trying to call corporate is a waste of time. My parents and other residents that we have had conversations with have the same complaints when it comes down to housekeeping. They do not clean properly and they have no compassion when it comes down to the residents. Maria the housekeeping director ignores calls and so does the executive director Alun. They use to have a young lady that was a housekeeper there that cared and made sure my parents apartment was cleaned to the standards that my parents loved but she is no longer there. I left a message for Alun to see if I could get this ladies number in hopes of hiring her for my parents and of course no response. The main dining area and bistro has mice and roaches and it's been this way for far to long. I am looking for a new facility to put my parents in because this place is terrible. I question if I go to the media would I get a response from corporate, the owners or Alun.

Just short of a prison. They will restrict visitors from your loved ones, in clear violation of their rights. When informed of such a violation, continued to restrict visitors, through mis communication and misinformed upper management. They walked my mother guest out the door leaving my mother in
