Just came back for a tour. Because of a mixup in the dates, our guide was unavailable, so the Regional Director of Marketing, Martijn, stepped in, despite his busy schedule. He was wonderful! And the place is amazing. I've visited tons of independent living facilities and this place is head and shoulders above the rest. It is absolutely gorgeous. Very well-maintained and spotless, with ample eating places and lots of cozy nooks and crannies to promote conversation. The rooms were also bigger and nicer than I expected. There is a lot of programming, too. On site is an exercise room and exercise classes, salon and massage, indoor heated pool with aqua-aerobics, theater, meeting rooms, golf room, and more. The residents are diverse and very engaged, and most telling, the residents greeted the staff warmly, which speaks volumes about the service they get there. Can I move in tomorrow?

I am a care giver for a 93 year young man living in the Independent living section. I have seen many facilities. Some of the highest prices in the city do not give you good care. The Tradition is genuinely a lovely and lively place to live. The staff is genuinely sweet and helpful. The staff seems to know every single resident! The neighbors are friendly and quiet. The food is great and they have a very full social calendar of things for everyone to enjoy. The beauty of the place speaks for itself but it is what happens within that you can only hope are real. The tradition is very real.

I have been living at The Tradition for ten months, having moved here four months after the death of my husband. We had been married 64 years, so I had not lived alone since I was 19 years old. I knew absolutely no one here, and wasn’t sure I had made the right decision. In no time at all, I began making friends and learning names. It wasn’t long before I was able to call my apartment “home”. There are now many residents I cannot imagine life without knowing! I never expected or intended to live in a “senior living” environment. Now I realize how valuable community living really is to the life of aging men and women. I would advise both singles and couples to think carefully about the safety it offers and responsibility of home ownership it takes away. The joy of fun and friendship is invaluable, yet as much privacy as you need is always an option. The staff is like helpful family who has our best interests at heart. I hope you will come and take a look, as aging is difficult and The Tradition helps take away much of the burden! This may not be what you wanted written, but it came from the heart!

I have been at The Traditions for over four months and have been pleased with my apartment, the food, and the employees that work here. Everyone is courteous and helpful. "Nothing is perfect". The only complaint I have is that I have to let the water run a long time time in the bathroom sink, shower, and a little better in the kitchen sink to get hot water. The activities are fantastic . Roberta is wonderful!
