My parents looked at The Reserve at Mission a few years ago when it was The Forum of Overland Park, which was one of the first facilities of its type in the area at the time. When my parents decided in twenty twenty five that they were ready to make the change to a retirement facility, The Reserve was the only place they would consider. They appreciate the small community atmosphere. That feels a lot like home and not a big elaborate setting. In which one could not feel as comfortable as they do at The Reserve. The residents we're friendly and welcoming and there are many activities in which to participate no matter what your area of interest. they appreciate that the menu has items that are served all the time as well as meal items that change. and there are always wonderful dessert options which especially pleases my father. Their apartment is lovely and very spacious with a nice size kitchen considering that they don't choose to cook very often in their own apartment. Thete is a wonderful program, Exceptional Extras,in case an Independent Living resident needs or wants more help with something on a temporary or long term basis. This was especially helpful when one of my parents came home from the hospital and helped them ease back into their regular routine. This has become a wonderful home away from home, long term, for my parents. And with their tiered 'age in place' proccess, they don't have to worry about moving when they need more care. We/they coukd not be happier with their decision to move to The Reserve at Mission (formerly The Forum of Overland Park).

I am a professional musician and I perform at many communities in the Kansas City area. The Reserve at Mission is by far one of my favorite places to perform. I grew up in this area and It feels like home every time I walk in, either in Independent Living or Assisted Living. The environment is elegant and warm, the staff is always welcoming to me. It's a joy to work with Shannon and Adrianna, and to perform for the residents!

The Reserve at Mission is proving to be a great home for my in-laws. They were welcomed by both residents and staff and love how "homey" the Reserve feels. The social activities are frequent and fun and led by staff who truly seem to love what they do and care about the residents. I appreciate them so much.

I chose to embrace a new chapter in living at The Reserve at Mission a few months ago. The first time I entered their main entrance I felt captivated by tall ceilings overlooking a gracious living room. The third floor apartment I viewed showcased white woodwork, crown molding, a full kitchen and outside the living room windows I saw a tall River Birch tree. The tree sealed the deal. I moved in. Residents introduced me to things I.care about; a library, music, sitting rooms, Happy Hour gatherings, a Writing Group, Book Club, and most of all fellowship at dinner time. Our tables wear white tablecloths, and flowers soften the scene. This Spring a newly formed garden club invites me to foster young flowers and watch them color our world.
