I have met a diverse group of residents from many places and life paths. I’ve heard fascinating stories, engaged in lively conversations, and had plenty of laughs. I’ve learned from PoPP talks and participated in exercise classes taught by competent and engaging instructors like Mike. I’ve volunteered in Childcare and participated in marches. I love the urban environment in which Pillars if located, where we can mix with students and people of diverse ethnicities while being able to take walks in a verdant adjacent neighborhood. I feel like I have it all, and then some.

My dad lives here (memory care) and we are overall satisfied with the services provided and opportunities afforded to him. This is the place you would want your loved one to reside. Activities happen at least 6 days per week - which is not normal for most other places! This is a wonderful community and they do such a great job at ensuring everyone has their needs met. They are very receptive to feedback and opportunities to improve. There is a wonderful community of caregivers that is supported by the community- lots of ad hoc and scheduled meetings to be supported as we continue this journey. Very thankful for this community!

Coming from another state, I did not know Minnesota. My first year at Pillars I took almost all of the bus trips going to events and historical buildings. Great way to learn the city and meet my neighbors! I travel often but always love returning to my “urban cabin.”

Excellent programming. I especially like the exercise classes, the music programs and the Wednesday social. I always find wonderful people to sit with. There is a special feeling of caring about and helping each other which I think is unique in this type of facility.
