I would highly recommend The Park Oak Grove. When my mother had a fall in August ‘25, we didn’t have a lot of time to research facilities in the Roanoke valley, however, after reviewing 3 locations, we settled on The Park Oak Grove. The staff, especially Carolyn, have bent over backwards to accommodate my mom. What started as brief ‘respite’ care is now turning into a longer term assisted living arrangement. I am pleased that the team has addressed my initial concerns and has been responsive to mom’s needs. I will say this transition has been a learning curve for my mom and myself; as a result, I would recommend that families fully engage in the transition process to ensure your loved one is making the transition from independent living to assisted living. The staff has been helpful to me as we learn to navigate this life change. Lastly, I have been pleased to see how mom has taken to the new living arrangement. She has told me several times that she is glad she has made the move. We look forward to many years to come in her new home.

When I visit Park Oak Grove the staff is welcoming and friendly. The residents seem happy and their activities calendar provides something for everyone! Carolyn has a huge heart for everyone who walks through the door & is able to guide potential residents in the right direction best suited for their needs. A high level of care is offered. I have a friend whose 97 year old dad is a resident and she says they couldn't be happier that they selected Park Oak Grove!

We chose Park Oak Grove (for my mother) for their spacious accommodations and warm atmosphere. The staff has been very responsive to concerns and works hard to make sure mom is taken care of. Paige and Carolyn have been a pleasure to work with on the admin side. The CNAs have been just as responsive. PT/OT are also onsite to problem solve ways to best care for mom… and their presence is a huge plus to this facility. We are happy we made the move to bring mom to Roanoke.

The Park Oak Grove really stands out from other assisted living communities. The apartments are bright, spacious, and feel more like a real home than a typical facility. Even the studios are roomy and well designed, which makes a big difference. It's clear that a lot of care went into creating a comfortable, independent lifestyle here. The entire community has a peaceful, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend checking it out.
