The Montevista at Coronado

MonteVista at Coronado is an outstanding community. The recent upgrades are beautiful and truly elevate the entire community. it feels warm, modern, and welcoming. What really makes MonteVista at Coronado special, though, is the incredible staff and leadership. Sofia, the Family Advisor, is absolutely amazing. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about the families she serves. Her assistant is equally wonderful—organized, responsive, and always helpful—making the entire experience smooth and reassuring. Together, they go above and beyond to support residents and families every step of the way. The care team and leadership are attentive, professional, and deeply committed to providing excellent care. This is a community you can truly feel confident in. It’s no wonder MonteVista at Coronado is recognized as the Best of El Paso year after year. Highly recommend!

Updated review of the Memory Care unit for my aunt pending. —- While our home is being repaired, I needed a mobility-friendly place nearby for my 87-year-old mom — and Montevista Independent Living apartments have been absolutely wonderful. It feels like a cruise or permanent vacation! Every day, residents receive an activity sheet and chef’s specials right at their door — such a thoughtful touch. What we love: — The food is very good (Mom says it’s better than top downtown hotels). — The staff are warm, welcoming, and remember every resident by name. — The maintenance team goes above and beyond — installing grab bars, assembling furniture, hanging pictures, and even helping with small tasks. — Security is excellent — they responded instantly when Mom accidentally pressed her alarm on her first night. — Housekeeping is top-notch. Her weekly housekeeper is friendly and attentive — she even noticed we use detergent for sensitive skin and keeps Mom’s sheets and towels separate to make sure the right detergent is used. — Activities for every interest: bingo, live music, karaoke, exercise classes, pool, and social hours with themed events and outings to the symphony, restaurants, and museums. — The Director truly listens to residents and makes improvements based on feedback. The grounds are pretty, and daily living is easy — trash pickup at the door, housekeeping, meals and utilities included, transportation provided. Montevista has given my mom a sense of comfort and belonging in a community she truly loves. It’s everything we hoped for — and more.

I am with Home Instead, a company that provides at home provider services for clients. We have a client who was looking into transitioning into a assisted living facility. Darla Martinez was the family advisor who gave me an awesome tour of the facility. She was kind, patient, and attentive. She answered all my questions and I felt confident that our client would continue to get the best care possible.

My folks have lived at Monte Vista for the last 6 months and the food, Apartment, Staff and environment are all outstanding and have exceeded my expectations. Lulu in assisted living and Sophia and Brett in independent living have been wonderful to my folks and have addressed all our issues in a timely fashion. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to my friends and family.
