My husband and I moved into Modena about 10 months ago. We have been very pleased with the service and accommodations. They have a caring and friendly staff who know the residents by name and interact with them daily. Residents were very welcoming. The dining area is open and bright, and the food is excellent. Three meals a day are provided. Every day the residents are provided with a choice of activities. We have no regrets about our decision to move here.

Hats off to Modena Reserve Kensington, where we just enjoyed one of their impressive chef's dinners! We dined on four courses of delicious Mediterranean seafood, perfectly grilled and served in their beautiful courtyard. The flawlessly grilled lobster stole the show and the service was impeccable. BIG shout outs and kudos to Chef Alonso, Jared, Mo, and Dunia for your excellent meal and service! Chef's team consistently turns out delicious food from scratch and their skills especially shine during chef's dinners. On behalf of your lucky residents, their families and guests, thank you for the amazing meal and lovely evening!

My adult children searched several communities prior to meeting with Mary C. at Modena Reserve Kensington. Without exception, Mary is extremely welcoming and knowledgeable answering every question with warmth and professionalism. My kids were so impressed they deposited immediately! Moving to Modena Reserve Kensington was the best decision I ever made. There are activities and comfort, feeling safe and well cared for, exercise classes, emergency support, fine dining and more. Think boutique hotel! Think Georgetown bar and restaurant! From the concierge to the executives, operations team, housekeepers, waitstaff and a Class A Chef, Modena Reserve Kensington provides everything I need the reassurance that assistance is just around the corner. My Mum was one of the initial residents of Modena Reserve in Kensington and it was the ONLY senior living facility that she could imagine living in. It has been three years, and she is still thrilled to be living at Modena. She loves the smaller size of the building (no long corridors), and the beautiful modern and light decor. The independent living apartment she chose has been perfect for her - light and airy with a lovely balcony she can continue her love of flowers and gardening . The staff are both professional and, more importantly, friendly and kind, making her feel she is a valued part of the community. My Mum is very happy to not have assigned seating in the dining room, and loves the varied and fresh menu selection (she especially loves the salmon). My daughters and I are always happy to join her for lunch or dinner. The Activities Director is great at providing a variety of activities (art class, knitting, exercise class, book club, movie night, special events with music, to name a few). My Mum has made some wonderful and interesting friends, including those from international backgrounds. We cannot speak to the Assisted LIving or Memory Care services, as we do not use such services.
