The Legacy at English Station

My mother lived her final few years at the Legacy. This was her 3rd placement following issues with 2 other facilities. It turned a tough decision into the most wonderful experience. The Legacy is focused solely on memory care. The facility itself is lovely and laid out perfectly for the residents and visitors. 3 “neighborhoods” each with incredible caring staff. These neighborhoods surround a beautiful well manicured completely enclosed courtyard with screened porches, walking path, covered areas, plenty of garden seating, garden beds. For my outdoor garden loving mother this was gold. The rooms are spacious, well laid out with high ceilings, large windows and accessible bathrooms. The staff were the key though. From the Administration, to nursing and care staff, activities, maintenance, food services, receptionist, hair stylist all were involved with each resident. Their approach is very calming, respectful and can be tailored to each residents needs. Communication was amazing. And there is OT PT and medical services available to all. The food was exceptional. They hosted special events that included family involvement. We especially appreciated the constant well thought out activities that helped to engage the residents. And in the end coordination between hospice and the legacy staff could not have been more amazing. I will forever be grateful. I highly highly recommend this facility.

Both my parents were patients there for close to 6 months. The level of care and personal attention was just amazing. The whole staff were wonderful in helping my parents deal with their issues whatever they might be. The memory care facility was perfect for my dad with dementia. We could not have found a better place for him to be in his last months and days. The compassion that every single person that works there will never be forgotten by our family. If you are looking for a place for your loved one I can’t recommend the legacy at English station enough.

My 98 year old father-in-law has been here for about 2 years. He came to the facility with his wife who passed away in February. The staff has been universally responsive and were supportive and comforting when his wife passed away. They have stayed on top of any physical, cognitive and emotional issues. They know him very well—his quirks, his stories, his family, his favorite foods (meals are wonderful). We have also grown to know and love the staff—all of them. There seems to be very low turnover. I would recommend them without reservation. .

Matt and the team at The Legacy provide 5 star service and care. Both of my grandparents were residences at The Legacy and there was never a doubt all of their needs were being met. Matt and the team were responsive and communicative in all facets. Highly recommend The Legacy at English Station.
