Toured as a possibility for my parents. And the place was spec. Very hotel like, super clean, loaded with amenities. Great location for independent living close to mall, eateries, outdoor and Indoor activities. Really gives independent living plus assistance if needed. Culinary is excellent fun themed menus with culinary ideas from around the world. Hospitable and welcoming. Lots of different floor plans including townhomes, Penthouse spacious living to small units.

The neglect an abuse the 3rd shift causes is not something that can be continued to be swept under the rugs. Leaving patience with rails down, doors shut, beds unlocked, not a call light to be reached. Leaving residents with dirty wipes in the bed, undergardments left on female residents along with hair pins and ties. Staff just not even cleaning residents after using the bathroom because a brief can cover it. The lack of any empathy towards residents or as on of the staffed called them " a burden" The amount of actual video evidence with only threats of termination if it was reported again. The Onbudsm # is on posted on the walls. Always report abuse and neglect. Document everything. Save a senior today.

My father was a resident at the Kenwood for approximately 5 years. His final 3 years were spent in assisted living on the second floor. He received excellent care from the nurses and aids. Nurses Kathy and Audry were so sweet and took extra time to visit with my dad. Kathy made cookies for all the residents ever Christmas. Audry was so attentive and gave my dads cat extra TLC. Denise was one of my dads aids that was just so loving and took great care in making sure my dad was ready for the day. Nija was also one of dads favorites. She took extra time to be with him and played chess with him. The activities were top notch. We often would go to the Diane Shields lectures. They were very intersting and my dad loved it. Dad died a few weeks ago and we're glad he spent his final years in such a beautiful and caring facility.

I am so excited to have moved my mom here. Once she saw the apartment available, she immediately wanted to live here and was moved in within a couple weeks. Molly showed us around and had all the answers. I didn’t know they had memory care as well so Molly showed us that area and we were sold. We brought my father over from another facility to have both mom and dad under the same roof. So welcoming, great service, and great people.
