I moved my mom to assisted living here. From the very start things were rocky. Biggest issue is the call buttons/pendents DO NOT WORK on the 2nd and 3rd floor. The nurses also do not wait for the patient to take their meds. So if they drop them or set them down. They don’t get taken. My mom fell several times here but the last time she fell it was because they weren’t giving her the medication that was on the list from the day I moved her in, and they tried to blame me because I picked up enough pills to get her through the weekend when I first moved her in. It’s dirty, everywhere. Her apartment was dirty when we moved in. Shaunna does not listen to what you say. She lays blame instead. I wouldn’t move my dog in here. It’s terrible. I will say the nursing staff was nice, that’s about all that was good. My advice…. Stay away.

Wickshire has been a fantastic fit for my sister. She is getting out more and interacting with staff and residents. Staff is always very friendly. We mainly worked with Shauuna who was great! She stays in contact with us and if she says she is going to do something, you can take her at her word - she will do it. We are very happy with Wickshire!

Assisting a parent during a major life transition is challenging. There are BIG considerations, and even more tiny details to navigate. Fortunately for my family, we found a true partner with the team at Wickshire. In the beginning, our tentative inquiries must have seemed sporadic and random. As we scouted potential facilities, and their resources and staff, we kept coming back to Wickshire. They patiently worked with our timing, hosted us for a tour and luncheon, and answered our BIG and little questions. During the move and initial transition, they were supportive, proactive, responsive and friendly. With every interaction our confidence and comfort grew. Today my father is comfortable and happy. He regularly participates in the outings and has made new friends. Our family has made wonderful memories and anticipate more to come. Thanks Wickshire!

The experience at Wickshire before and during the pandemic was, in my opinion, awful. The lack of staff to properly care for my loved one was the biggest complaint. I felt like the building was just getting by without any improvements. The lack of proper heat and air was a continuous problem from what I observed. Activity at this facility is lacking, in my opinion. It was even worse, in my opinion, during the pandemic. There was no communication available to see your loved one except for a once in a week (if you're lucky) via facetime. Communication and responsibility were always passed on to someone else, in my opinion. It was extremely frustrating to deal with the staff when you were looking out for your loved one. I would highly NOT recommend this company to anyone.
