My experience at The Kensington has been first - rate. My mother’s care in the Assisted Living area was professional, responsible, caring and conducted with dignity and high principles of this finely - run home for seniors. There are myriad activities for all stages of care level, excellent medical supervision, a professional congenial staff, and a beautiful environment. I had the confidence that my mom had her final years in a quality , caring environment. Many thanks over the years to the Management and the Kensington staff. Alison Fletcher

The Kensington in White Plains is an exceptional place. The staff from bottom to top treats my Mom with kindness and respect. The physical facilities are first class. The building is beautifully decorated and inviting as are the bedrooms. And my Mom raves about the food and never misses a meal. There are movie screenings and happy hours with live musical performances every day as well as a plethora of activities. I am saddened that when my Dad needed assisted care some years ago the Kensington had not yet been built. The contrast with the facility that cared for my Dad is stunning. It is most heartwarming that my Mom who resisted moving to a senior care facility now warmly refers to the Kensington as “her home.”

Exceptional Assisted Living in White Plains, NY Choosing Kensington Senior Living – White Plains was one of the best decisions our family ever made. From the very first day, it was clear this is not just an assisted living community—it is a true home built on compassion, dignity, and teamwork. My sister lived here for almost five years, and she truly thrived. Every team member—from caregivers to dining staff to leadership—worked together with one shared goal: her happiness and well-being. That kind of genuine, coordinated care is rare, and you feel it the moment you walk through the door. The food is outstanding—restaurant-quality meals that we enjoyed together often. Even when my sister required pureed foods toward the end of her life, the culinary team made meals that were beautiful, appetizing, and dignified. It meant everything to know she was still enjoying her meals. There is always something happening—live music, entertainment, lecture series, and social opportunities that made it easy to connect and feel part of a vibrant community. Most importantly, my sister was truly loved here. If you are searching for the best assisted living in White Plains, New York, I cannot recommend The Kensington strongly enough. I wish I could put into words to how eternally grateful I, and my siblings, are to the members of the Kensington staff for the wonderful care that my mother received while she was there. From her first day everyone was so welcoming and helped her to feel at home. It was wonderful to see her sitting with friends and talking with the dining staff. They always made sure that she ate a good meal and topped it off with chocolate ice cream. Her care partners were loving and kind always ensuring that her dignity was maintained. Staff members would often drop in to say hello even when they weren't assigned to her. The staff at the Kensington became a second family to us all. We knew that our mother was cared for with kindness and love. Thank you all.
