We are an enhanced assisted living, and memory care residence located in the heart of White Plains, NY! It is the realization of a vision of passionate leaders in the senior living industry. This industrious group sought to develop a community that takes the assisted living model of care to a higher level in an environment of comfortable elegance, staffed by loving professionals. They have accomplished just that.
The Kensington is designed to be home for seniors who are looking for assisted living and memory care services. We believe the comfort of familiarity is precious, so our enhanced program enables us to offer care beyond what the traditional assisted living community can deliver. We offer a full spectrum of clinical support, including end-of-life care, and no resident needs to move out if assisted living health care needs change.

My experience at The Kensington has been first - rate. My mother’s care in the Assisted Living area was professional, responsible, caring and conducted with dignity and high principles of this finely - run home for seniors. There are myriad activities for all stages of care level, excellent medical supervision, a professional congenial staff, and a beautiful environment. The Kensington in White Plains is an exceptional place. The staff from bottom to top treats my Mom with kindness and respect. The physical facilities are first class. The building is beautifully decorated and inviting as are the bedrooms. And my Mom raves about the food and never misses a meal. There are movie screenings and happy hours with live musical performances every day as well as a plethora of activities. I am saddened that when my Dad needed assisted care some years ago the Kensington had not yet been built. The contrast with the facility that cared for my Dad is stunning. It is most heartwarming that my Mom who resisted moving to a senior care facility now warmly refers to the Kensington as “her home.”

The Kensington has been an answer to my prayers. After experiencing two different facilities and 24 hour home care I was truly troubled about what the next step would be for my mom. I just can’t say enough about the care that my mom is receiving. The staff is amazing !! It’s a wonderful feeling knowing that your loved one is being treated like family .
