My mom is a resident at The Ivy (independent living) and the atmosphere and services are wonderful!! Beautiful grounds, nice dining and great housekeeping service. Fun activities and a calm, clean and appealing vibe. The staff working the front desk and the dining room were professional and friendly. Value for cost is excellent!!

My mother has been a resident at "The Ivy at Hawaii Kai" for over a year now. We spent a great deal of time exploring the various senior living options. Because she is a physically active senior with a companion dog and loves to walk & spend time out doors... we loved the campus sits on 23 acres! We are able to walk over a mile within the property itself. Its location is in a rural community and feels very safe. The community within the property itself is commendable. We love the variety yet familiarity of it all treated as one entity in a location that provides safety to everyone off busy streets. Between unit sizes, lanai options, ocean views, ground access to lawns and mountains vistas make the various options and flexibility for transfer between the Apartment and Condo units impressive and tantalizing. Dual amenities between both buildings available to all residents has been a delight for my mom too. She has yet to explore all the offerings but has her sights on the fitness room, chapel, movie theater and library. Since my mother enjoys walking and exercising with her companion dog she talks about the campus grounds with pride – the multiple grassy areas, shaded benches and pagodas. We’ve appreciated the welcoming residents, their dogs and comfortable, happy atmosphere – especially, the encouragement of extended family to also bring their fur family pets. My mother is in Independent Living. It really feels she is living an independent life but with structure. It allows her to feel her independence and for me to know she has consistency, friends, socialization, support, variety all in a safe caring place. The Ivy would not be the expansive multi-dimensional senior facility with out its leadership and supporting staff which I am so grateful for. The few personal complexities my mother experienced were not only swiftly addressed (by Lejandra) but coordinated and implemented in record time. Lejandra has been so helpful in helping my mom to have what she needs, it has been priceless to our overall experience. Day, Wayne, and April in the Mauka complex have also been so helpful, compassionate, they understand my mom's needs, their command and empathy make them extended family. Again, priceless to our overall experience. It is clear The Ivy and its ENTIRE team understand and respect our elders and the challenges they experience through their lives. My mom is happy . I am happy. I cannot recommend The Ivy enough. It was the right choice for us. Thank you!

The residents were LOVELY! The background and grounds are pretty. We visited our family here. There were a few standout members of the staff for sure! However they really need to work on the food they serve these people. Cold, tasteless, and uninspired. The guest suite was nice and clean. The pool could use a good cleaning and the exterior lights by the elevators need replacing. Maybe the guy reading the paper in the storage room could find some time for repairs... *cute library and game areas though.

It’s a very nice and very large assistant retirement home with beautiful landscape and views of the Pacific Ocean and the Hawaii Kai area of Oahu. I have a fellow military veteran that I helped move there over a year ago. With a very nice swimming pool area with outdoor BBQ and beautiful waterfalls.
