Our family will always be grateful for the incredible care my mom received at The Laurels. From the very first day, the staff made her feel like she wasn’t just a resident — she was family. They took the time to truly know her, to understand her needs, and to honor her dignity every single day. As she approached the end of her life, their compassion and attentiveness meant everything to us. The caregivers were gentle, patient, and consistently present — not just for her, but for our entire family. They communicated openly, offered comfort during the hardest moments, and treated my mom with such tenderness and respect. It takes a very special group of people to do this work the way they do. We will never forget the kindness they showed and the peace they gave us, knowing she was safe, cared for, and surrounded by love in her final days. If you are looking for a place where your loved one will truly be treated like family, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

If you have a loved one in this facility, please consider installing a camera in their room. The current Director strongly encouraged us to do so, saying it would help ensure our mother was receiving proper care and that nothing would be taken from her room. Ironically, it was that very camera that revealed the heartbreaking neglect she endured overnight during her final days. Even the hospice team that partners with the facility described its operations as chaotic and deeply concerning. By the grace of God, we were able to remove her immediately so she could spend her final moments surrounded by love and dignity. Still, the experience has left our family permanently shaken. If you are thinking about placing a parent or relative here, please pause and reflect on this: the Director asked us—the family paying for care—to install a camera to make sure the staff was doing their job. That alone should speak volumes. It simply isn’t worth the risk. Please look elsewhere.

My mother has been a resident of the Laurels assisted living facility since April 2023. She receives very good care from the professional, compassionate and friendly staff. The rooms, common spaces and grounds are all attractive and well maintained. There are plenty of activities for the residents, and the dining and meal services are good quality. I visit regularly, and the staff is readily available to answer questions or discuss concerns. I would recommend the Laurels to others seeking assisted living for their loved ones.

My mom and dad spent over 8 years at both the Laurels and the Havens. We cannot say enough about the level of care that they received. Certainly, the food and accommodations were top-notch, but the level of care from the people on the staff was what made the last years of their lives so special. We always knew, night or day, that our parents were safe, happy and in loving, capable hands. We appreciated the special personal bond that each person built with our parents, and we know that they cared as if they were their own parents. Thanks to each and every member of the staff at the Laurels and the Havens for taking such wonderful care of our parents.
