After graduating from college and retiring from our professional careers (my wife in medical technology, and I as an Environmental Safety Director for 30 years), our search for as soulful retirement community at seven different places both in Los Angeles and Houston landed us at The Delaney in Richmond, Texas. As we stepped into the building, the first impression was of an open sunlit, bright, cheerful place that was very clean. The lunch we ate was delicious, and the kitchen personnel were professionally trained. Finally, our reason for relocating to the Delaney in Richmond was to be close to our son, daughter- in-law, and our two grandchildren who live very close. We are happy with our decision, and The Delaney has not disappointed us yet. I forgot to mention that the activities and programs are GREAT!!!! The people are very, very nice.

Fabulous food, desserts are amazing! Nursing staff is friendly and caring; great about medications and administering 5 times a day. Hector the Director is effective, efficient and always has a smile.

This place is outstanding! Immediately upon arriving for my tour I was greeted nicely. Jodi is amazing, understanding, compassionate and knowledgeable. The Delaney is a clean and safe environment. Their memory care unit has so much to offer. They offer many wonderful daily activities for your loved ones to get involved in and interact with the community. The activities that they provide are customized based on the individuals to encourage them to engage and feel purposeful. Overall, I highly recommend The Delaney as a place to call “home”.

The Delaney has been a great fit for my MIL. She has been there almost 3 weeks and she has adjusted well to her new home. The staff have done a great job including her and helping her to adjust. The residents seem happy. If you are in the process of searching for a place consider using A Place for Mom to help you narrow down the facilities and then tour as many as you need to and ask a lot of questions
