My grandmother was in the memory care unit at The Claiborne in Thibodaux for a couple of years, and our experience was nothing short of upsetting. She was found outside wandering more than once—on a locked memory care unit. That alone says a lot about the lack of supervision. The communication with our family was awful. Most of the time, it was my parents who noticed she had something medically wrong before the nursing staff did. That’s not how it should be. You expect trained professionals to be paying attention—not your loved ones to have to constantly double-check everything. To make matters worse, you could tell many of the staff didn’t enjoy being there. There was no warmth, no real care—it felt like just a job to them, not a calling. We trusted The Claiborne to care for someone we love deeply, and they let us down time and again. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I've heard many great stories about this place, but it wasn't until I had the privilege of seeing for myself to confirm it. It's a very beautiful facility, well- kept, clean and inviting. The staff is very friendly and always ready to assist. Under the new regime that's been put in place sky is the limit for any family to consider making it a home for their love ones. They couldn't have chosen a better executive director to lead the staff and place going forward. She's a hard worker, kindhearted, and definitely has a wonderful spirit about her✨️; Exactly the kind of leader a company would be honored and proud to have. Keep the excellent work Claiborne Of Thibodaux, you're an A+ in my book💯

Recently visited the Claiborne looking for a home for my elderly mother. Although we have changed our mind about placing mom in an assisted living environment, I have to tell you guys that I was absolutely excited and sold on "The Claiborne". My sister and I visited your facility a few years ago when we first learned that mom's dementia was beginning. We both said "no way" we putting mom In here. Our case worker me too Ed that the place was under new management. And while considering our busy lives, we briefly revisited the idea of a new community for mom. From the moment we walked in the place felt different in a good way. The front desk staff was attentive and didn't allow us to wander in anticipation for help. He immediately addressed us.....with a smile. We then were introduced to the Director. I can't recall her name but I believe it was Triggs or Diggs. Never have I met an executive so I tune and involved. Smart, bright, listened to our needs. She assured us that she wa actively involved in every aspect of the facility and was passing that commitment to every employee. Should our needs change......your facility will be our first choice. Tremendous strides since our last visit
