I visit my parents every other Saturday when my daughter is volunteering. I look forward to this chunk of time with my folks. All the staff are super nice. Rents have been there almost a year, and I still don’t know everyone’s name! People always greet me with a smile and a “hello”. The food is really good, the atmosphere is beautiful, and there are always activities. It is a lively place. Of course, you can always go back to your apartment when you want. I consider the Carnegie to be like a land cruise ship. Sometimes, it’s simply hard for me to leave! I’m thrilled my folks have made the Carnegie their home.

The Carnegie is a comfortable senior living establishment. It is very well appointed and has a relaxing atmosphere. All people seem to be ambassadors suggesting the overall delight the residents have.The chef takes pride in his meals and the staff take pride in how they make dining a relaxed upscale experience.

Living at the Carnegie has given my father a new lease on life! The "regular" programming is engaging and so much more than just "regular", and the courses offered by JHU are an added bonus. The "outings" couldn't be better--Smithsonian, theater, concerts, sports games, museums and more. The community itself is full of intelligent, active, interesting neighbors who have become friends.

My mom decided that she wanted to live in an independent living building. She wanted more of a social life at her hands. The Carnegie at Washingtonian Woods was recommended. We are just now moving my mom in, but the facilities, the amenities, the food including a fine dining restaurant and the staff are exceptional. The staff and the residents are so helpful and welcoming. The Carnegie is a 5 star hotel and country club for seniors. The activities are endless. If you are a senior who wants to live in a vibrant community, I highly recommend The Carnegie at Washingtonian Woods.
