I visit my parents every other Saturday when my daughter is volunteering. I look forward to this chunk of time with my folks. All the staff are super nice. Rents have been there almost a year, and I still don’t know everyone’s name! People always greet me with a smile and a “hello”. The food is really good, the atmosphere is beautiful, and there are always activities. It is a lively place. Of course, you can always go back to your apartment when you want. I consider the Carnegie to be like a land cruise ship. Sometimes, it’s simply hard for me to leave! I’m thrilled my folks have made the Carnegie their home.

Living at the Carnegie has given my father a new lease on life! The "regular" programming is engaging and so much more than just "regular", and the courses offered by JHU are an added bonus. The "outings" couldn't be better--Smithsonian, theater, concerts, sports games, museums and more. The community itself is full of intelligent, active, interesting neighbors who have become friends.

What a lovely and thoughtful place to live! I just turned 65 and this is like a gift for me. From the thoughtful staff and friendly welcoming residents to the layout of the building and spacious apartments its got everything a senior needs for a carefree lifestyle. I'm a light sleeper and after doing some research The Carnegie is one of the few new places that has concrete structure and soundproof walls. The staff are friendly and professional and as a new member I feel welcome. I'm happy to give this five star rating to The Carnegie at Washingtonian which I call my home! I highly recommend.
