The Bristal Assisted Living at Somerset

I’ve always had a wonderful experience with The Bristal at Somerset. The staff is truly terrific from top to bottom. Jill, the Executive Director, sets a caring and professional tone for the entire community. Kaylee Johnson is always responsive and helpful, Bernadette in Reflections (memory care) is attentive and compassionate, and Summer, the Activities Director, keeps residents engaged and happy with meaningful programs. The team is consistently welcoming, communicative, and attentive — you can tell they genuinely care about the residents and their families. Highly recommend!

When we made the difficult decision that my wife needed to move to a memory care facility, our family toured and vetted several highly reviewed facilities in our area. After many discussions amongst the family, we reached a consensus that The Bristal at Somerset was the best choice for my wife’s safety, comfort, and well-being. A caring staff, led by Bernadette, the Reflections Director, and Summer, the Lifestyles Director, ensures that my wife receives the daily care and attention she needs. Hanh, the Director of Wellness, and her associate Linda, are on top of any health issues that may affect the residents, and the medical facilities at The Bristal give us additional assurance that any concerns are addressed quickly and professionally. I have met the OT and PT therapists who provide the needed physical training and support for my wife and am happy with the progress she has made in a brief time. In addition, Bernadette and Summer conduct monthly support group meetings that address pertinent care topics and allow families to share information and experiences. Now that my wife has been living at The Bristal for more than four months, we are even more confident in the choice we made. Family and friends visit multiple times each week to observe and speak with the staff to discuss my wife’s situation and what has transpired since our last visit, and they have all been impressed with the care and attention displayed by everyone at The Bristal. My wife has acclimated well and seems happy and content with her new home. While I wish she could be home with me 24/7, I know that I cannot provide the level of care and support she requires. The entire staff at Bristal, starting at the top with Jill, the Executive Director, is doing that for us. Knowing that my wife is safe, comfortable, and cared for at The Bristal is the most crucial element for me.

When visiting any Assisted Living community the first impression is so important. At The Bristal Somerset you get a warm welcome, residents are out and about enjoying a beautiful community supported by an attentive staff. The colors are bright and warm with beautifully decorated activities spaces. While the look is important, it doesnt matter if they do not have quality care or a clean community. Thankfully Bristal has both of those including, a tenured Executive Director with a strong nursing team, excellent dining, a wonderful community relations team, and highly quality engaging activities in both AL and memory care. The Foresite Health and Fall monitoring system is one of my favorite aspects that sets this community apart from the rest. This type of technology reduces risk for serious injury without being invasive. I highly recommend checking out The Bristal at Somerset!

We are so happy with our decision to move our dad to Reflections, the memory care unit at The Bristol. He has settled in nicely and seems very comfortable. The staff is wonderful, it’s very clean and he enjoys the food. Bernadette, the director, is always there with a smile, engaging with both residents and families. Knowing he is well cared for and content when we can’t be by his side gives us peace of mind. We are truly grateful to the entire team at The Bristol!
