Brennity Senior Living at Melbourne has provided my Father with excellent care in the assisted living community. The staff consistently show patience, compassion, and professionalism in meeting his needs. The leadership at Brennity sets a strong example, and it’s clear that the dedication and kindness of the team flow directly from the top. I have witnessed the Staff go above and beyond in different ways to make my Father comfortable and supported. I am deeply grateful for the work this team does every day. They have made a meaningful difference in my Father’s quality of life, and by extension, in mine as well. It is not an easy decision when that time in life presents itself, that Senior Living accommodations are needed. As we searched the community for the best value, we kept coming back to Brennity Senior Living. Nothing really compared. We have not looked back. Robert

my mother has been at the Brennity for two years. She is thriving and doing great. We are very happy she is receiving great care. We researched several memory care facilities in Florida and other states. The Brennity fit our needs and budget. Winn made our move into the facility painless and welcoming. Antonio continues to make sure my mother is enjoying her senior years.

My family and I could not be more grateful for the care our loved one has received here. The staff go above and beyond every single day—they treat residents with compassion, patience, and genuine kindness. The facility is always clean, welcoming, and feels more like a home than a nursing home. What stands out the most is the personal attention given to each resident; the nurses and caregivers truly know them as individuals, not just patients. There are plenty of activities that keep everyone engaged and social, and the meals are nutritious and thoughtfully prepared. It gives us great peace of mind knowing that our loved one is not only safe but also happy and cared for by such dedicated professionals. I highly recommend this nursing home to anyone looking for a place where their family member will be respected, supported, and loved.

After a few months at The Brennity, we moved our father to a different memory care in Viera. The management talked a good game in the beginning because they want your business, but after you move your loved-one in, it's all downhill. This is our honest opinion after less than 6 months there. We are so glad we made the decision to move our father because he seems to be more engaged and happier at the new place. Caregivers: It’s difficult to say if the caregivers at The Brennity are good since we have no other reference point. However, we feel they provided adequate care and attention to our father and they are a hard working group. They are doing their best with resources provided. Our father recently mentioned the staff at his new place is nicer than at The Brennity. Management: This would be the group behind the scenes who don’t provide the care but do all the talking to make things sound good if you have any issues. One person we were referred to often is Lady Washington. We still don’t know what her role is at The Brennity, but she truly is an unpleasant woman. She just never seemed to be very helpful and always seemed unhappy so we did not like dealing with her. The other people who make up the management team are Winn and Tiffany. They are just as unpleasant and useless as Lady Washington. Residents: The max number of residents is around 20. They seem clean and well taken care of and pleasant. Some like to wander into other people’s rooms and have a look around. When we brought this up to “management”, we were told it’s just how things are in memory care. So we found our own solution by keeping the door closed for privacy when he needed it. Food: I think breakfast was our father’s favorite meal of the day. Maybe because he was hungry but he said he liked the breakfast. Lunches and dinners were nothing special and as expected, some days are better than others. Residents have a choice of soup or salad and then a choice between two entrees. The salad is the exact same salad every meal, everyday with iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and ranch dressing. The soups did change. They have a Sunday brunch serviced in the main building. We were told it’s very popular and you have to make a reservation. We later learned the reason it’s so popular is probably because residents in independent living do not receive a dinner on Sundays since the kitchen is closed, so their included meal of the day brunch. We tried it once and have not gone back. If you want brunch, take your loved-one out to a nice restaurant. Facility: The Brennity is old (built in 2013) and could use a major facelift. There’s old carpet in the hallways and furniture and decor is just dated. The outdoor patio for memory care residents is sad. It’s small and screened in and feels claustrophobic. There’s not a huge outdoor space for them to walk around. We did not see a lot of residents using the outdoor space. The rooms in memory care were spacious enough, but for the same price, we have a bigger space and nicer amenities at the new place. Cost: The Brennity has a fixed fee for the room and then another fee for the level of care your loved-one needs. The more care, the higher the cost. The total monthly cost was approximately $7,000. This is at the maximum level of care where aids assisted with more needs and check on your loved-one every 2 hours. There is also a one-time facility fee when you first move-in which was around $2,000.
