The Addison of Oviedo

The management let's their staff ignore and neglect patients. Staff members leave in the middle of their shift without telling anyone and they keep their job. Allison walked out in the middle of the night around 2am and did not return. Another staff member had to go and cover their patients. Nothing was done to the employee who left her patients helpless in the middle of the night... but today I found out they fired the wonderful staff member who was actually helping patients that night. The majority of their night staff goes into the memory care or the kitchen by the assisted living section to sleep. They do this because the cameras in those two areas don't work and the management is okay with their employees sleeping and ignoring patients in need. The manager gives special treatment to staff of color and to certain patients. This place is horrible!! They need to be closed down, patients getting ignored, medical needs not attended to in a timely manner if even at all, the manager is non responsive, 90% of the staff doesn't do anything to help patients cause they're just asleep. DO NOT SEND ANYONE YOU CARE ABOUT TO THIS FACILITY!! If a member of your family or a close friend is here, id find them a new place IMMEDIATELY. I have also notified the BBB and the medical equivalent of the neglect the management allows to go on here. I am disgusted at the treatment of their patients. Also, this place is facing a massive lawsuit cause one of their employees went outside to get high, passed out in their car and a patient died while under the employees care. They obviously dont give a crap about the patients, just making money. The reply says "Hi Brooke" but my name is Adam Mathews as it states. You can see i have many reviews and I am in the top 10% of Google reviewers nation wide. The management is trying to act as if I'm someone else to save face it looks like. Benton House of Oviedo is an excellent facility. The staff are extremely friendly, and provide quality care to all residents. I highly recommend Benton House of Oviedo to all families!

My mom has been in Memory Care here since they opened in 2021. Like all Memory Care Facilities there have been ups and downs, but the change since Addison Place took over has been overall positive. The employees have a much more positive attitude and the food is improved. Communication to families also seems to be improved.

The Addison associates are some of the greatest individuals bar none. It doesn't matter what time of day or weekend. The staff is always, friendly, and helpful and goes above and beyond. I praise each and every one of your associates. The name may have changed but the care is still outstanding. Frankie Robinson
