TerraBella Shelby, from the leadership down, has a genuine love for the people in their care, and it shows in everything they do. They provide creative, engaging activities that encourage residents to stay active, connected, and enjoy each day. The community is beautiful, warm, and welcoming, creating an atmosphere that truly feels like home rather than an institution. What impressed me most was the kindness, compassion, and respect shown by the staff. If you’re looking for a place where your loved one will be cared for with dignity by people who truly care, TerraBella Shelby is well worth considering.

Terra Bella is the best. My Mother has been living there for about 3 months and I was really worried about her fitting in. But there was no need to worry. She loves being “On her own again”, with no worries. She says everyone is so nice resident’s and staff. The staff work tirelessly to help with the new routine and make her feel very welcome. She loves going to the dining room for lunch and dinner. The staff always ask her how her meal was and she feels comfortable giving her honest option, with no judgement from the staff. She enjoys the food about 90% of the time . But she says they always provide lots of choices and NEVER goes hungry. Thank you Terra Bella for the smooth transition to her next chapter in life.

The staff at TerraBella has been particularly attentive to my family member who is a resident. They've gone out of their way to help him adjust socially. I really appreciate their care and attention!

Please please, if you feel you MUST place your parent here, put a camera in their room!! Do not trust that they are being bathed, ADLs met, etc. We have recorded incidents, have physical as well as media proof of lack of services. Our mom has a super sunny disposition and a great sense of humor. All of the staff enjoyed her...but they did not care for her. 😢 She never had her support stockings put on...the Director always stated they DID do it but mom took them off. A lie. And surveillance shows it. This resulted in severe lymphodemia with open sores oozing and extreme swelling. Mom had to have nurses come in 2 times weekly and wrap her legs, and most importantly, they needed to be elevated. Unfortunately that didnt happen. If course, they said she was taken care of and it was her fault...she took her legs back down. She eventually would...when she had to go to the bathroom... but they only put them up when I sent text and said will someone PLEASE go help my mom. At one point...I cked the camera for a 3 day period and her legs were elevated ONE time...for 20 minutes. Her legs were not improving and we had no choice except to remove her and administer proper care at home. In 9 days her right legs was down by 7 inches and her left leg 5 inches!! She also went over 2 months without a shower, her room was rarely cleaned ... we did it because it just got disgusting. Carpet rarely vacuumed, never cleaned in 3 years time. They also committed Hippa Violations, discussing our mother care and lying about finances not being paid and saying that we had been turned into collections. The person this was told to, by an employee at Terra Bella, posted it about our family on FB! Saying we were disgruntled because we owed TB a pile of money and had been turned over to collections." NONE of that is true. We took our mom out and she has a final bill of $1200, due by July 30th and it will be paid as soon as LTC insurance processes the claim.... that Terra Bella was 24 days late in submitting. Beware... when a center has openings and no waiting list...there is a reason. Unless you want to pay the fee, and you live close enough to perform the care yourself, skip it. Yes...staff is all friendly. Director can ooze out sweetness and lies like no one's business. They have recently had 2 state inspections with adverse results. One of them resulted in them losing their nurse... who did a horrible job btw. Watch out for the sales pitch and the smoke and mirrors. Its easy to get sucked in...it is indeed a beautiful facility. But all is not golden. The activity Director is THE BOMB. I will say that!!
