Mom has lived at Symphony for a year and a half and the experience has been positive. There is a core staff of employees that we have gotten to know who make it homey. I’m always impressed that they know real time information even when I make unexpected calls or visits and they know and care about mom. Special shout out to Mariah and Michelle who manage various enjoyable activities for the residents and to Bethany for creating baking experiences and to Michelle and Debbie who manage reception. The leadership from Robin and Nicia are evident and appreciated. I feel confident in mom’s care and her safety and whenever I have raised any concern it is immediately addressed. There is nothing easy about experiencing your parent going through memory loss, but the staff at Symphony has demonstrated care and understanding with the residents and their families. If anything, I’d like them to keep me even more informed of mom’s progression and help me to be a better supporter where they see fit. I do appreciate they seem to have created an environment without judgment which I appreciate. The staff’s work is clearly difficult but also rewarding and I can see that the staff is held accountable to provide good care. That gives me peace of mind. I give 4 vs 5 stars as there is always room for improvement. Food is good but mom sometimes complains. Laundry sometimes gets lost. And my biggest concern is that there is no reliable systematic way to make immediate contact with staff. Too much reliance on the reception staff when available or interpersonal texting to specific individuals even during their off hours. For the $ paid, there needs to be a well communicated process to call in and get someone when needed va sometimes having to leave a message on the general phone number and hoping for a prompt reply.

I loved this place for my dad. It is very clean, and the staff is great. The only real downfall is they do not accept Medicaid, so we had to move my dad once the money ran out.

Our mom has been a Symphony at Mentor resident for a little over a year. She is happy and well taken care of by a consistent team of professionals with the training, patience, and compassion for loved ones who need memory care. No matter when we go for a visit, the property is secure, staff are welcoming, and the facilities and her living space are clean and tidy. The menu always looks good and she enjoys participating in various activities. It gives us peace of mind knowing mom is comfortable, cared for, and treated with respect.

Symphony at Mentor is an exceptional memory care community that deserves every bit of this five-star rating. From the moment I stepped foot into the building, I was greeted with warmth and compassion. The staff's longevity speaks volumes about their dedication and commitment to providing the highest level of care. It's evident that each member of the team truly cares about the residents and their well-being. The atmosphere exudes comfort and tranquility, creating a home like environment where residents can thrive. I highly recommend Symphony at Mentor Memory Care to anyone seeking compassionate and professional memory care services."
