I strongly recommend moving your loved ones to this facility. We are so happy with the care and environment at Sunrise of Grosse Pointe Woods. My mom is 93, and we were initially concerned that relocating her at this age might increase her confusion. But the opposite has happened — she’s truly thriving. She’s more alert, engaged, and participates in more activities tailored to individuals with dementia. The residents and staff are incredibly welcoming, and the staff, in particular, are caring, loving, and attentive. It’s a wonderful place that brings peace of mind to families.

The staff, directors, nurses, caregivers are kind, compassionate people. The Sunrise system is very expensive, but mom received good care. She thought she lived at a hotel! Mom was there several years so they got to know her well. great choice for our family.

We’ve also appreciated the weekly music entertainment, the well-planned activities calendar, and the inviting family gathering activities room that has been perfect for special occasions. The convenient location is yet another plus. Overall, Sunrise Assisted Living in Grosse Pointe provides exceptional care and creates a warm, supportive, and well-appointed environment for residents and their families. We recently moved my mother from another state to Sunrise Grosse Pointe to be closer to family. My family and I have been impressed with the community. The staff and other residents have been so welcoming. The nurses, aides and other staff who work there seem to truly enjoy their work with the residents. She is encouraged to participate in activities and that has helped her settle into the community. As a family member, I appreciate that both administrative and medical staff are so approachable and helpful. I am pleased there was an available apartment when we needed one.
