Every time I walk through the doors at Sunrise Hunter Mill, the atmosphere is warm, bright, and genuinely welcoming. The facility is beautifully maintained and always spotlessly clean. What stands out to me the most is how happy and engaged the residents are. The staff treats everyone like family, and I often see residents enjoying the great activities or chatting over a meal. It brings me so much peace of mind knowing that the residents thrive in such a safe, compassionate, and lively environment. I highly recommend Sunrise to anyone looking for an excellent care community!

As one who has enjoyed Hunter Mill as both a client for my late husband and as a 3 times weekly volunteer for 15 years, I can easily attest to the welcoming atmosphere of this home-away--from-home community. Well-trained and compassionate staff are in evidence daily where I currently lead Bible study for assisted living on Tuesday afternoons and for Reminiscence on Friday mornings. Each Sunday our community van is available for worship in nearby churches and we gather both in the Activity Room in the morning and in Reminiscence after lunch for YouTube worship with a local congregation. My ordination permits me to serve Holy Communion monthly while a team from St Mark Church serves Catholic residents each Sunday morning and a priest says Mass monthly. Activities are in abundance each day, meals are varied and delicious. I do enjoy asking those who arrive for tour "Are you coming to live with us?" and if invited will share why I love Sunrise at Hunter Mill, the homey community.

After looking into my several places, I specifically chose the Hunter Hill location of the Sunrise franchise due to the people, and the general ambiance of the facility. It didnt' feel like a hotel or an institution. I felt that it was more comfortable and warm and that was best for my mother to transition into a place. Staff are genuinely caring and experienced in what they do. The cost is competive with other facilities in the area. I would love to keep my mother there indefiniltey but unfortunately, they do not take Medicaid.

I highly recommend this facility. The staff is caring, attentive, and truly treats every resident like family. What stands out the most is the incredible Activities Team, whose dedication, creativity, and enthusiasm bring so much joy to the residents every single day. From engaging games and exercise programs to themed events, crafts, culinary activities and social gatherings, the Activities Team goes above and beyond to ensure everyone feels included, active, and connected. Their genuine kindness and personal attention create a vibrant atmosphere that keeps residents smiling and looking forward to each day.
